Hey there, looks like you just wandered in. Why not have a look around and stay for a while, maybe even start your own adventure, if you're into that.

I didn't want this in my last post filled with criticism as this is all nice, so hope it's ok to post another. xD

I'm super excited to get into this event! ^-^ I absolutely love having more stuff to do when sites have events. I'm really looking forward to trying my best to get the high tier, the items are pretty nice as well as the potatoes and trophy (I love to collect trophies)!

I look forward to wasting my only freetime on this!

Woo love the new items, hoping that 30k won't be too hard to reach with the extra tasks coming each day ^^

Oh wow I was a bit worried until I saw the additional tasks! But I cannot wait to see what those wings look like on our avatars!

The summer festival banner is so pretty!

Also please be generous with the points for the upcoming tasks bearnard_pray.gif

I also hope the yop tier is able to be reached with out coming back every few hours. I get online twice a day usually and play for a good period. But not long enough to get 24hr worth of points. Itd suck to not even have a chance just because life outside the game exists.

Hopefully as others said the newer tasks will give more points. I will say I also feel odd about admins participating, no other sites really do that, though as long as no special rewards come to leaderboard people idc as much.

Edit: top not yop, wow me

The new Help Bearnard task is an incredibly bad idea. A 4 hour timer? Even with Premium, I only get 4 town hops a day (and it takes more than 4 hours to get another one with Adventuring). Am I supposed to just. Speed through ALL my Dailies and then end the day in Louise Hill and only do a single Bearnard quest every four hours for the rest of the day?
  • Villager Arkanjel (#15822) 22 Aug 2020, 12:06 am
"Help out Bearnard." So, what I'm seeing is that I need to stay in Louise hill almost all day? There's no way for me to do that and finish my dailies in time with my schedule
  • Villager Gaia (#528) 22 Aug 2020, 12:08 am
I completely agree with Magician. Having a town-specific timed quest is a horrible, horrible idea. I hope instead of being timed, it'll just be maxed at 6 times a day, allowing you to do them all at once. Or just a once every 24 hour thing, so you don't end up stuck in LH or waste all your hops jumping back and forth.
  • Villager Shadowbanish (#20601) 22 Aug 2020, 12:37 am
Why does "helping Bearnard" have a time limit, when it's already got a max daily limit? :/ Without the timer, this would gave been a nice way for people with stricter schedules/minimal free time to catch up on points.

Aah, the crunch to 30k points... Reminds me of all those "triple a" games nowadays. Except - for better or worse - there's no way to buy levels or points (as far as I know), only crunch it til the burn out... 30k seems a bit too much, no? Oh well, maybe the points will get a tad easier to get each day, and won't make you stuck in LH.
I don't have strong opinions of staff in the leaderboard, only that it's may seem discouraging to some people. Maybe to me, too... I love staff and I appreciate their hard work, and I hate to be the gatekeeper, so I'm not saying staff can't be playing and enjoying the festivities, it's just it seems a bit unfair. To ordinary players, staff are in a position of power, even if they can't "cheat" events or anything like that, god forbid... Someone proposed the idea of staff having their own leaderboard, and it sounds pretty fun!

On another note, it's first public festival, right? It's okay to make mistakes and changes, it's okay to listen to your playerbase. The clothes items are lovely, and I truly hope they will be reachable. The art for embers is sweet as well... And that art with Lilia and Fantasia?! I would make a little pillow or a poster out of it, I adore it.
    God I love events.

The Bearnard Quest is probably the worst idea I've seen (y e t ... after all there's 3 more tasks to go for that title). This would have been the perfect opportunity to give players that have a stricter time schedule (you know, people who work, go to school, have daily responsibilities) an alternative by just awarding points for Bearnards dailies as you do them.
What did we get? another time gate. A TOWNBOUND NPC-BOUND time gate. This is stressful and just not fun.
A way to remedy it/an idea: let the questing you already did count. The game keeps track of how many times you do certain dalies. Just let a player who completed Bearnards stuff get a pass for the activity whenever it pops up.

I think "Help out Bearnard" is not a good task. It locks players into Louise Hill (because it is very stressful to have a 4 hour time limit on doing all daily Quests in the other towns), and Players who are grinding Louise Hill affection have to specifically wait with the Quests and space them out, with the risk of forgetting to do some of them if we accidentally pass out in the evening.
There are two ways you can still have essentially the same task while dodging the problems with it:
    1. Make it a "Help Bearnard 6 Times" thing you can do once every 24 hours and get all of the points at once.
    2. Give us another system like Embers. They have been a very great solution who can only do Dailies in batches, so how about tokens for completing Bearnard Dailies? Here, you can use my art if you want a placeholder.
