Hey there, looks like you just wandered in. Why not have a look around and stay for a while, maybe even start your own adventure, if you're into that.

  • The event can be accessed through the button above or by going to the community drop down menu!
  • For the first few days, an additional new task will appear each day for a total of 8 different tasks.
  • Tasks refresh on a set timer, for example the Gather Refreshments task can be completed every 2 hours (12AM, 2AM, and so on)
  • Overtime reward details will appear if the main bar is filled before the event ends!
  • A seasonal quest related to the events of this year's Summer Festivities will unlock if the bar is successfully filled by the end of the event!
  • This quest, if unlocked will be enabled for the duration of September after the event ends.
  • The leaderboard is just for fun and does not include any bonus prizes for high scoring users!

    PrettySkitty (#1882) they stated that there'll be 8 new tasks later. I hope they award more points, because last time, in 2018, there was over 60k points in game '-' I mean, having a 40-50% requirement for the Elite tier seems okay to me, but more than that is just... a terrible way of having an event xD 33% of the day should be sleep, so the max someone should do is 67% of the total possible points

    "Overtime reward details will appear if the main bar is filled before the event ends!"

    aka: "We're never actually going to get to overtime because as soon as the people who put the most time and dedication into the game reach it we're going to bump the bar back to punish everyone just like usual."

    The new items are absolutely gorgeous, especially the sun hat. <3

    I'm just really hoping that the new tasks have a high enough point reward to make it possible for more casual players to *at least* reach the gold tier without stressing. ;.;
    As it is, I'll be trying, but between work, and starting college I seriously can't see how I'd be able to reach even 20k points without ruining my (frankly terrible) sleep schedule even further/pulling all-nighters just in order to even have a shot at gaining a set of the items.

    Is Elite earned at +25000 or 30000, kind of confusing?
  • Villager JudgeBunny (#725) 21 Aug 2020, 9:28 am
    I'm a little overwhelmed by that 30k point goal, but I'll try my best! ;-;

    im confused - have the embers been added yet?
  • Villager Wynken (#6523) 21 Aug 2020, 10:23 am
    Poppy (#221) the +25000 is how many potatoes you earn for reaching 30k points in the event!

    Ok, I've been reading comments, and gosh. . . ! This is the first day of the first publicly available Dappervolk events. Please everyone take a breath. This is supposed to be a fun game. *smiles* Things will work out in the end, if you can communicate properly and do not belittle the person you're trying to communicate with. That does nothing for your relationship nor does it make you louder than words on a page.

    To any Staff who read messages, I'd like to post a couple of things I enjoy about the event. I really love the art someone drew on the event page; coloured lineart/lineless is a big favorite of mine! Fantasia and Lilia look beyond adorable! ! ! !

    I am also a BIG fan of the countdown-timer on the festival page, so I don't have to constantly refresh to see when I need to click on the button again. This is such a useful feature. I joined in July (so I do not know what was done before). I also really like the highlighted COMMUNITY > SUMMER FESTIVITIES tab you've added too!

    I am looking forward to seeing what these two-weeks have planned~ (also I didn't comment about it before, but thank you so much for the storage option. I needed somewhere to put my NPC food. I ate some against my will before and had to go out to the tradesmarket and buy more lol)

    I believe they said that they will be adding 4 more buttons as the event progresses, and with more buttons, there will be more points to be earned at each time you check. The build up is like starting a grand adventure, first you have to get dressed, pack, tie your shoes. . . it stacks, then you're on your way with 1000s of friends to pat pets, and donate food for the Summer Festivities! Who knows what else they will need, and how many points that will give? We have unlocked only 50% of the event (as of this post)!
    (Also to my understanding. I may be wrong!)

    Good luck to everyone! Remember to get rest, eat, walkies, and entertainment! *waves goodbye*

    Yay! New event! Was looking forward to this event. So long as I don't have trouble reaching the Elite tier, I have no complaints. It's super easy to hop on for two minutes to complete the mini-events.

    threePonefour (#34808) "I know a lot of people are concerned about the points needed to attain the elite tier, but I noticed that the points awarded for each task increases the more tasks you do. The first time I did the Gather Decor task I was awarded 75 points but the second time I was awarded 150 points. Pet interaction tasks seem to increase the points awarded by +5 each time (20 first time, 25 second time, etc...)."

    You don't get more points the more often you do tasks. You're awarded the same amount of points each time, as you can see in the notification at the top of the page when you complete a task. Under the "Your Tier" segment, you see you ACCUMULATED points for each task. This is all of the points you have earned for each task overall. I think you're getting your accumulated points mixed up with how much each task gives you. Interacting with your pet gives you 5, every time.

    I feel like as long as the leaderboard is only for fun, that no one gets any prizes or points or advantages by being in a higher place, then anyone in staff is more than welcome to also be on it.

    Now come any leaderboards that may give prizes or whatnot for being in a certain tier, staff needs to not be allowed. I saw someone mention the thing where a company may have a contest or whatever and they seem to always not allow workers to partake, and that's the exact feeling I get with this. DV staff could even have the own leaderboard, that I'd be fine with and would actually much prefer. Then us players can just play against each other, and then staff can do that between themselves as all, so it's not cutting them out of the fun.

    I'm gonna wait until the event goes on a bit more, but I'm almost feeling like the 30k points is a bit high too. I feel like event prizes shouldn't be extremely hard to get where you need to not have a life and only play the event to get it. But perhaps points will get easier to get and it won't be too hard, but I of course don't want it super easy to get.
