Premium Badge Clarification!
Hello everyone! We'd like to address and clarify some confusion surrounding the Premium Badge features and their relation to the Monthly Shops!
What Perks do Premium Badges give you?
- +1 Bonus Spin Point for Pai's Machine of Wonders each month you have premium activated, spin points do not expire!
- +2 Outfit Save Slots
- +10 Trades Market Lots at once
- +1 Potato Bonus tasks per day
- +1 Stat Boost tasks per day
- +1 Town Hop per day
- +2 Max items from minigames per day
- +2000 potatoes max from minigames per day
- +2000 potatoes max from forum posts per day
- Free access to premium undergarments in the wardrobe while Premium is activated
Note: Perks may be adjusted/added to as time goes on! We will update everyone if we adjust/add new perks in the future.
We realize there was some misinformation present in the notification users got when they activated premium prior to July 1st.
This was the notification users got:
As part of your premium member perks, you have received this month's bonus point for the premium shop. Remember to claim an item before it expires!
The notification should say:
As part of this month's premium member perks, you have received 1 bonus spin point for Pai's Machine of Wonders. All spin points go towards getting a bonus free item claim!
We completely understand that this may change some user's views on whether or not they would currently want premium, so we'd like to offer a turnip currency refund to any user who used their premium badge before July 1st, 2020 and would like it refunded.
Send in a ticket in order to:
- Get your premium status cancelled.
- Get a refund in Turnips for the same amount as the cost of the Premium Badge you used.
We do have a backlog of tickets at the moment, but we promise to get to everyone soon, no ticket will be missed!
Additionally, there was a bug prior to July 1st in which bonus spin points were not being rewarded yet. We've added +1 spin point for Pai's shop to everyone who activated premium prior to July 1st 2020!
We apologize for the confusion and appreciate all of the patience and support as we get these early site launch issues straightened out!

"if i had a gambling addiction, addictive tendencies, poor impulse control, or literally just ever felt the desire to buy on something that brings me some modicum of joy i would simply not spend money on it. rip to p2p users but i'm different. just don't pay for it. it's that simple."
this is you.
this is what you sound like.
i am begging you to please go do some research into similar games with similar gacha or lootbox systems. there is content in abundance, and i can personally hand deliver you some to your inbox if you would like.
please try to be more empathetic toward the users who feel slighted by this, because despite my belief that focusing single-mindedly on the gacha mechanic is a pivot away from the core issue that is that dappervolk cheated its users out of their money, this is something that merits discussion.
And here I thought Flight Rising had its moments of terrible business practices and nonsensical moves with aspects of gameplay, but you guys shot yourselves in the foot right out the gate. The site barely took its first steps before you enraged a decent chunk of your player base.
Here's to hoping y'all learn and improve, but I won't count on it. Back to FR I go.
If you're like me, your purchases give nothing in return, because redeem codes aren't working for a bunch of people, lol.
I also wonder what the point of having a bug forum is when all of the responses are "send in a ticket" rather than anything of substance.
You Need dedicated community managers to address your criticism, and to respond and compile tickets.
I've been following this game for a long time and it has also been a long time since I've seen a group that's... clearly out of their depth. Hire more people, please.
Regardless, I hope anyone reading this or any of these comments has a lovely day. and remember that none of this is an attack, this is constructive criticism from your PAYING site users.
I think making some of the suggested changes to premium perks and the premium gatcha would go a long way in showing good will to the playerbase. I will say I love that all the items have the same drop rate, it's not predatory like a lot of other loot boxes. I do wish the bundle had EVERYTHING even if the price becomes a little higher. Ah well, I hope the team is doing well and don't take the negativity to heart. The players mean well even if they don't know the best way to say what they feel. You guys are doing a great job.
Nothing at all?
Not even a "hey, we hear you, and we're looking into this"?
Please keep in mind that silence also says a lot. Definitely not a good look...
Communicate with us openly since we, the players, want to see this site become the best it can be, not crash and burn right out of the gate.
I don't really take a problem with a premium currency gacha as long as the odds are posted somewhere public and accessible, like they are on many mobile games. I personally enjoy supporting the games for a chance to get some extra stuff, though I can full say that in the past they saddened me as I had no disposable income. I think it's fair to keep these in, and for the userbase to decide if they will use this feature or not based on their age, country, economic status, etc, with the decisions to use it or not to both be completely understandable.
However I can admit that I personally was never going to buy turnips due to the following in the TOS:
"As a condition of using Dappervolk and accumulating... Turnips, you agree that Dappervolk has the absolute right to reduce, manage, regulate, control, modify and/or eliminate...Turnips, including the... Turnips in your account, as it sees fit in its sole discretion, and that Dappervolk will have no liability to you based on its exercise of such rights."
The "no refund for RLC" I think is fine, but combined with the seeming "we can also take away your turnips whenever we want at our discretion, even though you bought them with RLC" is a huge red flag for me which leaves supporting the site only viable through things like bundles, as I feel much more comfortable with that and really don't mind with waiting a few days for the codes to come my way. This may have been intended to mean something more like "we can refund you via turnips, like we did in this instance", but also as written it appears to cover taking them away as well.
Just my two cents! I do think this is recoverable, just that it needs some thought put into it and I hope you guys don't take this as too much of a hit to morale, because I know managing groups is hard. Phew sorry, this turned out longer than I meant :'D
I don't think they listen to us at all to be honest. They've been radio silent about this and were told during beta that the RLC gacha machines/premium shop was a horrible idea and too much like gambling and loot boxes.
Plus it's been over a week and me and a bunch of other people are still having problems with getting bogus codes from the gumroad store, not getting our codes at all, and getting spammed with the same ones over and over.
and they've never addressed that and keep advertising the gum road like nothing's wrong.
They'd remove the rlc gatcha, considering that it's literally AGAINST THE LAWS of some countries/regions.
They'd honor the original agreement we made when we bought their premium tokens, the understanding that it was actually WORTH the money that could have been put toward other things.
But then, why should they at this point? They got your money already. They've already won. They even made it clear in their post here and the ToS that they don't feel the need to give any of that money back.
This smacks of a cash grab scheme and I'm sorry that I supported it in any way. I would hope the site closes, but people will still support it regardless of how hard they get slapped in the face, so I'll just hope that they learn their lesson from this failure.
I put in a ticket to get a refund, but honestly this whole event has completely soured the whole site for me and so I'll be leaving. It's not worth sticking with a site whose staff doesn't care about their users.
