Premium Badge Clarification!
Hello everyone! We'd like to address and clarify some confusion surrounding the Premium Badge features and their relation to the Monthly Shops!
What Perks do Premium Badges give you?
- +1 Bonus Spin Point for Pai's Machine of Wonders each month you have premium activated, spin points do not expire!
- +2 Outfit Save Slots
- +10 Trades Market Lots at once
- +1 Potato Bonus tasks per day
- +1 Stat Boost tasks per day
- +1 Town Hop per day
- +2 Max items from minigames per day
- +2000 potatoes max from minigames per day
- +2000 potatoes max from forum posts per day
- Free access to premium undergarments in the wardrobe while Premium is activated
Note: Perks may be adjusted/added to as time goes on! We will update everyone if we adjust/add new perks in the future.
We realize there was some misinformation present in the notification users got when they activated premium prior to July 1st.
This was the notification users got:
As part of your premium member perks, you have received this month's bonus point for the premium shop. Remember to claim an item before it expires!
The notification should say:
As part of this month's premium member perks, you have received 1 bonus spin point for Pai's Machine of Wonders. All spin points go towards getting a bonus free item claim!
We completely understand that this may change some user's views on whether or not they would currently want premium, so we'd like to offer a turnip currency refund to any user who used their premium badge before July 1st, 2020 and would like it refunded.
Send in a ticket in order to:
- Get your premium status cancelled.
- Get a refund in Turnips for the same amount as the cost of the Premium Badge you used.
We do have a backlog of tickets at the moment, but we promise to get to everyone soon, no ticket will be missed!
Additionally, there was a bug prior to July 1st in which bonus spin points were not being rewarded yet. We've added +1 spin point for Pai's shop to everyone who activated premium prior to July 1st 2020!
We apologize for the confusion and appreciate all of the patience and support as we get these early site launch issues straightened out!

Hopefully you can find a solution that comes along, thank you for your hard work!
It's only been about a week since opening so I'm sure that new content will be discussed and added, I just hope that things will be more rewarding for premium members. Because right now, it's not really worth paying money for it, sure the extra site perks are nice but it's not really worth spending cash over.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but....you don't TEST premium perks, that involves real money. You test them in beta when people aren't spending RLC, and tweak then to make sure things work out right, or listen to your user's input on how they felt about gacha back in beta. Keep in mind, they had 20,000 user accounts in total on beta. Plenty of people to test all of this for, that's what beta was for.
Especially when they aren't refunding the money, just the turnips. The turnips that can only be used for premium gacha, that gives you a chance of items, so people who bought specifically for this only to realize the perks weren't really good, are now short of money that they paid monthly or yearly on
In all honesty they shoulda made like a premium inventory shop so people could buy what they wanted.
i don't really have much to say about the rest of this that hasn't already been said.
Additionally, 1 month of premium is 500 turnips, which is $5. Not much, yes, and I do like the additional perks that come with it. However, the gacha cosmetics seem disproportionally expensive compared to how "cheap" a premium badge is - one spin is 180 turnips, so $1.80. That means three spins are already more expensive than an entire month of premium (180 turnips times 3 are 540 turnips), and for what? Three cosmetic items you can't even pick yourself and, if you're unlucky, you might just get the same thing for each spin.
As someone who has thrown a lot of money into things such as the lootcrates in ESO, I'm honestly not as bothered by the gacha element (especially since I do at least have the option of trading or selling my duplicates here on DV), but the "you have to pay for 10 months premium to receive one single free item" thing still doesn't sit well with me. Please listen to everyone who has voiced this before and just turn the point into an actual free spin - you'll probably lose more potential money if you don't, to be completely honest.
I don't think any of us are complaining out of malice, but because we do like and enjoy the site and want to see it grow and become even more popular, and things like this tend to really screw with the growth of a site.
I, too, would enjoy if instead of "counting towards" a free spin, the premium perk would at least be a straight up free spin for the shop, else buying premium feels hardly worth it.
Hi there!
I understand, but I also partially (but politely) disagree, sorry!
Games are always changing and testing how their features might work and affect users, alpha, beta, open game, I've never seen a single game that didn't alter things to fit their userbase better along the way, even during their first week/month in open game. Premium markets are always adjusting, but you also have the fact of inexperience, which I attribute to the DV staff in regards to the mistake they did right now.
They're not EA for example - they're a small team of devs who are trying to work on a project for the first time and hopefully learning from those mistakes. I understand people's frustrations too and I agree with some of them, but the staff had modified things during alpha and beta that did come to fit better on people's needs and that's what gives me confidence that they'll come to listen to what people have to say - I have seen games like Archeage, or even WOW itself handling things in a much poorer fashion, or downright ignoring issues completely, but I also had positive experiences such as in Warframe in which the devs realized the way they were using their premium wasn't healthy for their userbase and modified it completely in favor of their community having a much healthier experience because they were worried people were spending too much in their game. In comparison, DV has been accommodating - slowly sure - but not against changes.
Again, I have no issues with the changes being requested, they're more than fair - people voiced that they would prefer if premium had one free monthly spin, and adjustments to the pricing/ item distribution and refunds, have more attractive features, and I do not disagree, but that sentiment has been voiced by many people at this point - I was just short in my response for that reason.
I just hope they adjust their premium features and balance it to fit what should work best for both sides. That's not a negative sentiment whatsoever to neither sides. lol
Maybe instead of a free spin every month, you can save up bonus points which can later be used to redeem a retired Monthly Shop item? On your previous post you said "All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained rarely from Grandma Agnes later on." So I don't think anyone expects that the monthly shop items will later become impossible to obtain.
It gives a huge incentive to get a premium badge without becoming pay to win, or offering anything too big towards premium members, since non-members can still trade with premium members to receive the items. (Or trade earned potatoes towards receiving a premium badge!)
I'm still happy with Dappervolk, and I trust that you guys can change, adapt, and communicate with your player-base, thank you!
I'm just glad this happened before I dropped cash on the site. I wonder if you'll make your "premium" stuff worth while before I get completely bored of the site and go back to the site I came here from? We shall see.
I don't want to spam the comments section, though, so I will make a Suggestions thread.
