AD THEATER

• The Ad Theater feature has arrived! Simply visit the Playground to access it.
• In the Ad Theater, you can watch videos and advertisements to earn potatoes for each video you watch.
• Video and advertisement content depends on your interests and browsing patterns determined by our ad provider. Advertisements will occasionally appear in the middle of videos which will give you extra earnings once watched.
• You can also earn turnips, potatoes, and item rewards if you watch a minimum of 6 videos per day consecutively to complete the multi-day reward streak.
• More info on rewards can be seen on the Theater page.
• Adjustments and bug fixes may be made as we monitor the feature's launch in the coming days.
  

ADVENTURING OPTIMIZATION

• We've reworked the entire backend image calling and processing system for Adventuring.
• This allows for a much smoother and shorter game loading time, and should also moderately reduce cpu usage.
• Due to the image cache, this update may take a few days of refreshing to fully integrate. Feel free to report any bugs you find to the Bug Reports forum!
• We're also working on updating the sprite thumbnails and additional adjustments down the line, since our backend system for npc events and images is more robust now!
  

STAT AFFINITIES

• Stat affinities have been added back in, this means that pet food and quest stat gains are once again affected by either the pet's nature or the player's class.
• If you're an elven class, you can now get +1 bonus charm for quest rewards or if you're getting +1 tenacity, there is a chance you'll get +0 tenacity.
• If your pet is comprehensive nature, it can now gain +1 bonus comprehension or +0 honour if +1 honour is rolled from pet foods .
• Stat affinities for Daily Bonus Stat Tasks have been adjusted so that the stat your strength is in will give you one extra stat task and your weak stat will have one less stat task each day. This has been adjusted so that no effort is wasted and so that there is a limit to stat weakness for tasks.
  

MINIGAME UPDATES

• Vaer Sea Forage's potato reward gain has been increased for better balancing.
• Currently, we're lacking the expertise to fully fix some of the reward and score keeping bugs affecting some users. If you're only experiencing the reward generation issues on mobile, we'd suggest that you try playing on a different device for now. We'll keep at it and give you updates if we manage to fix the issues!
  

PET PROFILE NAVIGATION BUTTONS

• Pet profiles now have NAVIGATE buttons that will scroll through the user's menagerie, allowing for a more convenient user experience.
• The order should go by the saved pet order in each pen, and loop back to the first pen once the last pen's pet is reached.
• There may be some discrepancies for pens with newly obtained pets that haven't had their order manually sorted by the user.
• All new unsorted pets will be ordered by ascending pet ID when navigated through.
  

BLOCK SETTING UPDATES

• Directly linked trades market lots can no longer be viewed by a blocked user of the trade lot's creator.
• Accessory usages can no longer be granted to a user who has been blocked by the accessory's owner, or if the owner is blocked by the recipient of the usage.
  

TICKET STATUS
We're currently keeping on top of new tickets being sent in, and continuing our work on going through the remaining bulk of older tickets. Some tickets with the same query that are currently unanswered are those we're working on a consistent way to address or handle them, and others are situations or contain issues that we need to deliberate over before making a decision. Thank you very much for your patience!

PET ACCESSORY STATUS
We're up to date and keeping up well with all pet accessory design submissions. There is an average wait time of 1-4 days after submitting your accessory for approval. We're working on some visual and text based updates to the rules in order to cover details that are currently not included/up to date. In the meantime, since our ticket queue is manageable, feel free to send in a ticket or PM Admin #1 if you have questions about an accessory submission you're unsure about!

• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of 8 items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.
  

How can I get to Peddler's Port?
Peddler's Port is a seaside location that you can unlock by going through the main storyline in Louise Hill. Once unlocked, you can visit Peddler's Port any time without using up a town hop!
WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
Here's a quick look at the updates we're focusing on right now!

Adventuring Optimization
Our adventuring optimization is going through its final stage of testing now! If no new issues are found, we'll be able to reflect the new update onto the site with our next push.

Ad Theater
The Ad Theater is also nearly complete and going through its final testing and adjustments. More info on both of these updates in a new post once they're ready!

Nico's Atelier Item Update
We're planning to create some new items for Nico's Atelier as well as do outline adjustments on some of the existing items.
The types of items we're planning to add include:

• Simple eyes & mouths (Smiles, closed eyes, etc)
• Basic shoes
• Patches & sparkles - To take the place of skin decor items that were previously able to be layered on top of clothing.
• Glasses/Monocles
• Earrings
• Plain Skins
  

Custom Maker Queue
While finalizing the queue system, we've discovered a potential issue with our custom item system that we'd like to look over in order to safeguard our database for the future, we thank everyone for their patience as this gets resolved.

Vaer Reef Quest Update
We're working on final revisions, inputting, and testing the Vaer Reef Quest adjustments as well as Affection Milestone Side Quests. More info on this as we make progress!

The autumn festivities will run from:
November 12th 1:30AM to November 30th 11:59PM, 2020!
UPDATE: Event Shop and Currency gain has been extended to December 8th 12AM DVT!
Creativity Prompts still hold the submission deadline of November 30th.
The end of event news post and prompt prize winners will go up after December 8th!


Speak to Magdalene in the 3's Forest to begin your event quest:
"Among Fallen Leaves" - This series of quests will require a few days to complete and allow you to accumulate event currency and other items!

The Event Shop is now open from November 20th to December 8th 12AM DVT, 2020!

• You can visit Magdalene's Autumn Bazaar by clicking on Magdalene's marker in 3's Forest to access the event shop.
• The shop will take Wild Forage Snacks as its currency! The shop type will be permanent stock with differing prices for each seasonal item.
• Once the event ends, the shop will close until a new Autumn event appears next year.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
Here's a quick look at how we're progressing and some things that we're prioritizing right now!

• Many ways throughout the site's gameplay to collect an item that can be used as currency in an event shop open later in the event!
• A big staff-run event thread with creativity prompts and surprise trivia based around Dappervolk's lore. Prizes will include raffled, staff picked, and participation rewards!
• A series of autumn quests revealing more of Dappervolk's November deity and autumn lore.
• Small social media giveaways and activities throughout the month!
  

Since we won't have a big event feature ready for this season, we're going to do our best to have fun with everyone with lots of different smaller activities! We'll tease an event start date via a Status update when we're ready with a concrete date!

Guild Fixed & Adjustments
For the last few days after Guilds were released, we've been hard at work making fixes to new bugs and small adjustments to balance and improve the feature. We've been updating a Changelog post with all changes that are being made as we make them.

Adventuring Optimization, Custom Queue & Ad Theater
These are the features we'll be working on in between getting the event ready. We'll need to coordinate the timing of releases with our event and overall schedule. More info on each update will be released as we get to finalizing release dates!

Smaller Bug Fixes & QoL Adjustments
Here's a non-exhaustive list of some smaller updates we'll be working on rolling out in between our larger updates.

• Adding Stat Affinity/Weaknesses back in with the adjustments we have planned for the stat bonus task system.
• Investigating some pet milestone related bugs in which a traded pet's milestones are missing.
• Birthday letter bugs - We've addressed most of the wrong birthdate tickets, but we've discovered some new birthday related bugs that we're currently investigating before we do manual letter reimbursements.
• Some minor pet accessory system UI fixes and adjustments to streamline the experience.
• Some pet system related bug fixes that will improve the experience.
• Text editor improvements, we're looking into updating our plugins related to our text parser which should make text editing and our bbcode more consistent.
