• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.

• The recipe for this seasonal pet's hatching item is now obtainable on site, the ingredients are in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shop Bonus Prize pools.
• Oran and Agnes have joined Pai in having a Bonus Prize with their shop stock. They now have unique prize pools, separate from Pai.
• There will be exclusive bonus prize only items available to be chosen, unavailable in their regular shop stock.
• Currently, ingredients for the Spring Seasonal pet are being stocked, with additional updates to be made later on.
• These Seasonal Pets will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of each season (Ie. Spring is March, April, and May.) to be replaced by new pets.
• Seasonal pets like this will likely return in some form in the following years, though the way to obtain them may change!

CUSTOM MAKER SUBMISSION
We've nearly finished preparation for our custom maker submission, thank you for your patience! We'll be announcing at least a week prior to the opening time so everyone is prepared. Read our FAQ and Submission Rules here.

VAER REEF QUEST UPDATE
After we finalize preparations and work on the winter event quests, we'll be continuing forward with remaining adjustments and the affection milestone side quests for Vaer Reef!

The Present Tree with Agnes
An event page with a gift exchange tree, tasks to help wrap presents, and additional prizes for donation milestones!

Winter Event Questline
There will be a series of quests which include a seasonal daily quest that take you through February's deity lore!

Earning Event Currency
Event currency will be earned through the various event features, quests, and threads as well as through site mechanics! Details on this will come with the main event news post update when it begins.

Agnes' Seasonal Winter Shop
A seasonal event shop that accepts event currency items will open 3 days after the start of the event. The 3-day delay is to give staff some time to gauge player activity and how much currency is generated in this new event type - in this way, we can better balance the event shop pricing for everyone! The shop will remain open for a few extra days after the end of the event as well to allow time for purchases.

Winter Festivities Contest Threads
We'll be hosting a few small contest threads including a mini Creativity Prompt thread, Avatar Dress-up contest, and Present Bauble Decoration!

What are Monthly Shops?

How can I get to Peddler's Port?
Peddler's Port is a seaside location that you can unlock by going through the main storyline in Louise Hill. Once unlocked, you can visit Peddler's Port any time without using up a town hop!

WINTER FESTIVITIES
We're working hard on coding, quest writing, art assets, and planning for the winter event to take place some time in February! As a small hint, the winter event mechanics this year revolve around the act of giving and receiving. We'll have more details for you before the event begins!

VAER REEF QUEST UPDATE
We're still working on revisions for the story quests and affection side quests in Vaer Reef, the writing priority has temporarily shifted to the winter event quests but we'll be prioritizing this again once the event quests are complete.

CUSTOM MAKER SUBMISSION
We're still finetuning the adjustments to the system for custom pets and clothing, we want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible for both users and art staff once this feature is launched. Due to the winter event currently taking precedent, we're hoping to launch submission in either February or relatively soon after that in March. Thank you very much for your patience!

ADDITIONAL MISCELLANEOUS CONTENT
We're working on adding additional content to different parts of the game for variety, this includes additional alchemy recolours for existing items, new items and recipes to various parts of the site, new pets, and lots more. The ways to obtain these items and pets will become clear once we start to push them out in the coming months.

With each new permanent clothing item update, we'll also be working on outline adjustments for existing site items to be pushed along with them.

PLANNED BALANCING & ADJUSTMENTS
In the background, we've been working on planning out some extensive adjustments to improve the game's flow and sense of reward, as well as boosting play longevity. This will consist of adjustments to multiple parts of the site such as quests, user experience/interface, content variety, and other mechanic updates.

Once our plans are ready to be announced, we'll update everyone with a roadmap of the series of updates we'll be rolling out. This is something in our priority list that may take some time as it requires very careful planning, we're looking forward to continuously improving the game!

COMMUNICATION ORGANIZATION
Recently, we made a changelog post about communication here. It covers our current policies, areas we've improved on, and areas we'd like to improve on for communication. Going forward, we'll also be taking a look at how to streamline our different channels of communication (news posts, changelogs, status posts) so that the userbase is fully informed more easily.

MAIN STORYLINE CONTINUATION
Along with everything else, we've been working on and planning the next town's content in the background. The release of a new town is still a ways off, but we'll keep you posted on its progress as we work. Since we're in our first year of Dappervolk, there are still some very important core features and gameplay updates we have to do, which is why some content updates were pushed back. Once things begin to iron out more, we'll be able to dedicate more time to content updates like this to move the storyline forward!

LOUISE HILL RIDDLE CONTEST RESULTS
We're still in the process of reviewing each submitted riddle to determine the winners, there were a record number of submissions during the contest which is why it's taken some time. We're hoping to put some more time into finalizing results this month as well as inputting all winning riddles into the Louise Hill adventuring area!

CUSTOM MAKER SUBMISSION
We've almost finished with the backend adjustments we wanted to make to the system so we're in final testing stages now! We'll let everyone know once the queue is ready to be opened officially. The custom maker submission rules will also be announced a week in advance of the queue opening!

NICO'S ATELIER UPDATE
We're currently working on all the new items we had planned for Nico's along with outline updates, we're aiming for an update some time in January!

WINTER FESTIVITIES
We're working on a Winter Festivities event which we're hoping to have take place some time in February, we're excited for everyone to be able to explore more of the seasonal lore! More info will be posted about this as we develop the event details.

HOUSING
We're progressing smoothly with establishing the basic frameworks and mechanics of housing at the moment, as our artists simultaneously work on assets! Eventually, once the feature gets closer to completion we'll be able to show everyone sneak peeks.
