Summer Festivities 2020!
The Summer Festivities have officially begun!

EVENT DURATION AUGUST 21ST TO SEPTEMBER 5TH

  • The event can be accessed through the button above or by going to the community drop down menu!
  • For the first few days, an additional new task will appear each day for a total of 8 different tasks.
  • Tasks refresh on a set timer, for example the Gather Refreshments task can be completed every 2 hours (12AM, 2AM, and so on)
  • Overtime reward details will appear if the main bar is filled before the event ends!
  • A seasonal quest related to the events of this year's Summer Festivities will unlock if the bar is successfully filled by the end of the event!
  • This quest, if unlocked will be enabled for the duration of September after the event ends.
  • The leaderboard is just for fun and does not include any bonus prizes for high scoring users!

Event Related Item Drop
  • The Shimmering Ember is an event specific item that is now obtainable by completing daily errands for Louise Hill NPC's (Both positive and negative paths)!
  • All shimmering embers are account bound and will disappear at the end of the event.

    I have to agree with Novel (#836) , I think people are getting a bit too stressed over this event. Please consider that it will come back next year and that the DV team is still testing ground :) It's very difficult to configure an event like this just right for a large pool of players, especially with a very small team. That being said, feedback is very important and I completely understand the criticism raised!

    Just a suggestion, I think it would be nice if the potato rewards next to each tier title move to the right side of its respective column, above or below trophy text.

    While there are still some issues with the event I more so not happy with how staff has not communicated with the community over their concerns. They shouldn't have left it with a 'wait and see' sort of thing if so many people had similar concerns. I'm very sure that this question is going to be ignored but was there any sort of reason that staff couldn't respond faster/at all? It's that sort of vagueness in a community that doesn't set well with me? Because I would think it would be important to calm the community of they were upset over the event.

    Anyway, I appreciate Novel saying what they did... I was thinking along similar lines, but clearly didn't express myself well.

    I'm fine with staff not communicating much, but if they're reading this, a suggestion: A lot of people would've stressed a lot less if you'd said the point values and timers of the four mystery tasks in advance. So... advice for next time. XD

    Astraleaf (#17183) where have you seen the items for the cooperative tiers? I’m so in the dark even about what the prizes for the respective solo tiers look like because all I can see is their icons, I’ve never seen images of what they look like equipped. I must have missed something somewhere

    Something to think about: The Silver Tier and Elite Tier sprites are extremely similar. The flower color is different, but the Elite flowerpot should probably be a bit more different (I understand it's brighter) for a greater distinction.

    (Yeah, yeah, it's nitpicky but y'know, if someone puts in all the work to get to the Elite Tier at least they'd want to be distinguished easier.)

    Speaking of trophies, my problem with them is completely different - rather than wanting to show off shinier elite tier trophies, I wish I could use the plainer lower tier ones! They have prettier colours imo, and I felt the same about the spring event trophies back in beta. I think it would be neat if getting a trophy meant getting all of the lower tier trophies as well.
