• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.
  

• The recipe for this seasonal pet's hatching item is unlocked by default, the ingredients are in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shop Bonus Prize pools.
• This Seasonal Pet will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of February to be replaced by a new pet.
• Seasonal pets will be obtainable annually on a rotation! The items the seasonal pets hatch from can be alchemized at any time of year as long as you have the shards.
• The item alchemy recipe for the hatching item is automatically unlocked for all users, you can view it in your item alchemy page.
  

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON

NICO'S ATELIER UPDATE
Our team has been hard at work on the new Nico's items, and we're finally ready to go!
As previously mentioned, we are splitting Nico's Atelier into Nico's Atelier and Nico's Salon and adding all of our new items into the two shops. The shops will also have new bonus claim item rewards for accumulated purchases!

QOL UPDATES
We have been working throughout November on coding and testing a number of QoL updates, they'll be ready to go live early this month once we ensure their stability. The updates include a great deal of sorting, searching, and filtering options for various parts of the site, item tooltip enhancements among other things!

WINTER EVENT PREPARATION
We're working on assets, story, and planning for our January winter event which will take place some time in January, more info on this as progress goes on!

DAILY QUEST BALANCING & NPC UPDATE
We'll be working on each town's daily quests to rebalance them to be more user friendly. We're planning to roll out quest updates town by town, with additional updates to the NPC shops in each town for better site balance. More info on this will come in a future update!

ITEM REWARD POOL EXPANSIONS
This month, our artist team will be getting started on creating new items for our various item pools that contain recipe items, in order to bolster the appeal of getting rewards from said pools. Our recipe items will be moved to a dedicated NPC shop with its own stock and item sink system which will allow for users to choose the recipe they wish to get instead of getting lots of unwanted extras.

BETA CHANGELOG & ROADMAP THREAD
These two items are on our to-do list, and will remain here until they are complete!

This event type is one of three event types that we currently have. This is the first iteration of our brand new Gathering event type. We'll be making adjustments to each event type in order to improve them each year.

Here are some plans for improvements for future gathering type events that we've accumulated with the feedback from hosting this event!

• When getting a random gatherable, the modal shouldn’t refresh the page and interrupt what you were doing, we'll have it work more like random encounters where the page doesn't refresh after your claim.
• We want to add some additional mechanics to the existing gathering and watering mechanics that allow you to be more involved in the event.
• We'll be making a thread with Seasonal item clothing previews and keeping it updated when new items are released. Permanent content updates will also get their own thread.
• We'll be including more clarity on how a set of seasonal quests is unlocked in the future.
• Seasonal quest rewards will mostly be event currency from now on to allow for freedom to get the items you want, as well as event achievements and possibly some NPC food.
  

Seasonal Quest & Content Plans
After a year of various seasonal events taking place, we'd like to provide some info on our planned event progression for the future.

• Our major events take place during each of the 4 seasons on Dappervolk annually.
• Currently, we're adding new seasonal content for each event that highlights and explores Dappervolk's deities, of which there is one for each month.
• This seasonal content (quests, npcs, maps, etc) will be available without its major event type (co-op, gifting, gathering) annually after the year it's released, adding to the plethora of seasonal content that will be available over time.
• Our goal is to explore a new deity in each seasonal event until we have seasonal content for all 12 deities.
• Once all deities have corresponding content that sheds light on their lore, we'll be exploring other stories within the world of Dappervolk, such as more stories for new and existing NPC's or areas.
• This way, we can add more seasonal content to the site and enrich its story and lore along the way!
  

Our next event will be a Winter Event some time in January! We'll be launching the second iteration of our Gifting event type!

• You can start the quest "Among Fallen Leaves" by going to 3's Forest and clicking on Magdalene.
• There are 3 quests in total: Among Fallen Leaves, Search the Shadowed Path (Repeatable, available throughout the month), and Returning to Magdalene's Cottage
• Magdalene's Autumn Bazaar is open again for the month of November!
• Stocked are Ombra's items, with a few additional items preparing to arrive a week into November!
• Ombra's seasonal currency "Wild Forage Snacks" can be obtained from Magdalene's repeatable seasonal quest "Search the Shadowed Path" as well as through several other regular site mechanics.

QOL UPDATES
After our last while of working on larger updates such as the Gathering Event, we'll be working on some useful QoL related adjustments and fixes for the next couple of weeks before gearing up for bigger projects.

NICO'S ATELIER UPDATE
Our artist team is focusing on the upcoming Nico's Update later this month! Some item types we'll be adding:

• New hairstyles and facial hair
• New basic eye styles
• New basic lips
• Lensless glasses
• New basic clothing and accessories
• New recolours
• New basic skins with different nose shapes
  

We're also planning to split up Nico's Atelier into Nico's Atelier and Nico's Salon, two different shops to better spread out the large inventory of items they have available!

BETA CHANGELOG & ROADMAP THREAD
Currently, we're focusing on some backend related adjustments to help streamline our system for updating existing quests. This should allow us to more efficiently work on our upcoming balancing rollouts and help it not conflict with other updates happening simultaneously. We're also planning out projects for our new artists in order to expand some of our RNG pools so that once we move all recipe items to their own dedicated shop, we can then populate the pools with more desirable items.
