Reasons for adding the Site Wide Custom Maker limit:

• We can control the drop rate of Custom Makers to keep the queue manageable for our artists while also not making the drop rate extremely low.
• It allows a better chance for the average user to obtain a custom maker due to the higher drop rate.
• We can ideally control deflation by putting a limit on custom maker obtainment and stopping users from endlessly sinking potatoes into machines.
  

• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.
  

• You can start the quest "A Search for the Unknown" by going to Peddler's Port and clicking on Pai.
• There are 3 quests in total: A Search for the Unknown, Perusing the Constellation Library (Repeatable, available throughout the month), and Secrets of the Tomes (Unlocks after a number of days completing the previous quest.
• Agnes' Winter Boutique is open again for the month of February!
• Stocked are Ravan's items, with a couple of additional items preparing to arrive a week into February!
• Ravan's seasonal currency "Scrap of Knowledge" can be obtained from Pai's repeatable seasonal quest "Perusing the Constellation Library" as well as through several other regular site mechanics.
  

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
Here's a look into what we're prioritizing this month!

We'll be working on Ravan items as well as wishes from the Wishing Well thread. Hope to see you there!

CUSTOM LIMIT
We're nearly ready to launch the sitewide custom maker limits! We'll be raising the drop rate as well as adding some info about custom distribution to the archive pages along with this upcoming update.

RECIPE BALANCING
Our art team is diligently at work on the large recipe pool rebalancing update, we still have a ways to go but will be aiming to have all of the artwork done some time in April.

QOL & OTHER UPDATES
Our coders are working on several different updates along with some more basic fixes and QoL changes this month. These updates will include bulk item alchemy, a latest updates link bar with convenient links on the front page, event fixes, and other optimizations.

QUEST BALANCING
Along with our previously outlined update plans to help balance daily errands and reduce clicks, we're looking into a way to allow a reroll of a task in each errand. This should help with avoiding tasks you can't do as well as keep the balance of different tasks intact.

These two items are on our to-do list, and will remain here until they are complete!

PELLUMI'S SUN FESTIVAL

• This is an anonymous present donation and claim tree run by Pellumi!
• Roll tasks to wrap presents and donate them to the tree.
• You can donate an unlimited number of gifts and claim up to 3 per day, 1 for each donation you make that day.
• Gift donation and claiming will be sorted by rarity, meaning that generally you will get a similar rarity item to what you tend to donate!
• Additional prizes can be claimed as you hit total donation milestones, they will give out special event prizes not within the user created pool!
• After the event ends, there will be 7 days of free present claiming on an individual cooldown timer for the left over present pool.
• This will go on for 7 days or until the pool is depleted.

To access the event quest, visit the new seasonal area - Soll's Ruins! Go to the World Map and find it south of Silvie's Mine.

• Speak to Pellumi at Soll's Ruins to begin the seasonal quest "The Winter Sands"
• There are 4 quests in total to be unlocked in succession.
• 2 of 4 quests are repeatable quests. "The Great Labyrinth" can be completed once a day while "A Moment's Respite" can be completed 3 times.

• Pellumi's Antique Nook shop will open on the second day of the event on January 25th 12AM DVT
• The shop will be open until February 22nd, 11:59PM DVT
• Shop stock will include all January Deity clothing, seasonal winter clothing, 2 new pet hatchables, totems, and more!
• All shop items should be affordable if you complete the Sun Festival gifting event and complete all 4 winter quests in Soll's Ruins.

HOW TO OBTAIN RUIN LIGHTS
Ruin Lights are the currency for the Winter Event Shop and are obtainable in the following ways:

• Doing the seasonal event quests in Soll's Ruins
• Completing gift milestones and claiming prizes at the Sun Festival
• Random Encounters
• Random Item Alchemy
• Adventuring Rewards

HOW TO GET EMBELLISHMENTS
Embellishments are required for present wrapping tasks in the Sun Festival and can be obtained by:

• Completing the "Exploring the Labyrinth" repeatable quest in Soll's Ruins.
• Receiving them from other users through Embellishment gifting on user profiles.
• You can post in this thread to give and receive embellishments!

• This event type is a gift exchange system.
• Complete tasks to help wrap up presents to add to the tree.
• Select presents from your inventory to wrap up for fellow players!
• Claim a certain amount of random presents from the tree each day for donating presents.
• Claim additional prizes for reaching donation milestones.
• Give and receive embellishments to help wrap your presents.
  

SEASONAL MAP, NPC, QUEST, EVENT SHOP

• There will be a new seasonal mini town available to be visited during the event!
• A new seasonal NPC also inhabits this new area, with a set of event quests which can be completed for seasonal currency.
• The new seasonal town along with its NPC will disappear once the event ends, to return annually.
• An event shop will become accessible on the second day of the event on January 25th at 6pm DVT, stocked with all seasonal items for winter.
• Event currency will be earned through the Gifting Event, Seasonal Event Quests, and various site mechanics.
  

There will be an Avatar Contest, a Bauble Drawing Contest, and a Creativity Prompt Contest held during the event!

WINTER FESTIVITIES
We're hard at work preparing for our Winter Festivities featuring stories surrounding Soll, the deity of light! We're planning to announce the event start date some time around mid January, a news post will go up detailing the event contents around then. We hope you're looking forward to it!

ITEM REWARD POOL EXPANSIONS
Our art team is working hard on a slew of new items to be added to various item reward pools to replace recipe items. We're looking forward to revealing details on the update some time in February.

DAILY QUEST BALANCING & NPC UPDATE
We're working on daily errand rebalancing and new content for Louise Hill, to be followed by a similar update to each town in succession. We'll be working on this in tandem with event preparation and other priorities! More details will come as progress is made.

CUSTOM SITE LIMIT
Our devs are working on adding a custom maker rolling limit for the site and for individuals, among other updates! An indicator on site will show whether or not the cap has been hit for rolling customs each week/month. Once this feature is live, we'll also be raising the probability of rolling a custom maker in shops as the increase of custom makers on site will be controllable with this feature.
