The Present Tree with Agnes

• This is an anonymous present donation and claim tree run by Agnes!
• Roll tasks to wrap presents and donate them to the tree.
• You can donate an unlimited number of gifts and claim up to 3 per day, 1 for each donation you make that day.
• Gift donation and claiming will be sorted by rarity, meaning generally you will get a similar rarity item to what you tend to donate!
• Additional prizes can be claimed as you hit total donation milestones, they will give out special event prizes not within the user created pool!
• After the event ends, there will be 4 days of free present claiming on an individual cooldown timer for the left over present pool.
• This will go on for 4 days or until the pool is depleted.
  

• You may see the above button on user profiles or in the forums.
• By clicking the button, you can gift any user a Wrapping Paper item for free once every 15 minutes!
• You will receive notifications informing you of users sending you free wrapping paper.
  

• First speak to Pai at Peddler's Port to begin part 1 of the Winter quest line, called "A Search for the Unknown"
• After completing it, a repeatable Daily Event Quest will be unlocked for Pai: "Perusing the Constellation Library" Completing their daily tasks up to 3x each day will earn you event currency, as well as help to unlock the rest of the event story quest line.
• There will be a total of 3 Winter story quests to experience during this event!
  

WAYS TO OBTAIN

• Being granted by other users using the GIFT WRAPPING PAPER button on profiles and forum posts.
• Completing the Daily Event Quest from Pai, called "Perusing the Constellation Library" This daily can be done 3 times a day, totalling 15 Wrapping Papers.
• Completing the Agnes' Daily Gift repeatable quest, which can be completed once a day, totalling 5 Wrapping Papers.
  

WAYS TO OBTAIN

• Claiming Additional Prizes at Agnes' Winter Gift Tree.
• Completing the Event Daily Quest from Pai, called "Perusing the Constellation Library" which can be done 3 times a day, totalling 15 Scraps of Knowledge.
• Completing the Agnes' Daily Gift repeatable quest, which can be completed once a day, totalling 5 Scraps of Knowledge.
• Completing the other Event Seasonal Quests.
• Random Item Alchemy
• Random Events in Peddler's Port as well as other areas.
  

• Agnes' Winter Boutique shop will open 3 days into the event on March 6th at 11:59PM DVT.
• The shop will remain open until March 22nd at 11:59PM DVT.
• Shop stock will include all seasonal winter clothing, totems, and more!
  

• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.

• The recipe for this seasonal pet's hatching item is now obtainable on site, the ingredients are in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shop Bonus Prize pools.
• Oran and Agnes have joined Pai in having a Bonus Prize with their shop stock. They now have unique prize pools, separate from Pai.
• There will be exclusive bonus prize only items available to be chosen, unavailable in their regular shop stock.
• Currently, ingredients for the Spring Seasonal pet are being stocked, with additional updates to be made later on.
• These Seasonal Pets will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of each season (Ie. Spring is March, April, and May.) to be replaced by new pets.
• Seasonal pets like this will likely return in some form in the following years, though the way to obtain them may change!

CUSTOM MAKER SUBMISSION
We've nearly finished preparation for our custom maker submission, thank you for your patience! We'll be announcing at least a week prior to the opening time so everyone is prepared. Read our FAQ and Submission Rules here.

VAER REEF QUEST UPDATE
After we finalize preparations and work on the winter event quests, we'll be continuing forward with remaining adjustments and the affection milestone side quests for Vaer Reef!

Earning Event Currency
Event currency will be earned through the various event features, quests, and threads as well as through site mechanics! Details on this will come with the main event news post update when it begins.

Agnes' Seasonal Winter Shop
A seasonal event shop that accepts event currency items will open 3 days after the start of the event. The 3-day delay is to give staff some time to gauge player activity and how much currency is generated in this new event type - in this way, we can better balance the event shop pricing for everyone! The shop will remain open for a few extra days after the end of the event as well to allow time for purchases.

Winter Festivities Contest Threads
We'll be hosting a few small contest threads including a mini Creativity Prompt thread, Avatar Dress-up contest, and Present Bauble Decoration!

What are Monthly Shops?

• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of 8 items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.
  

How can I get to Peddler's Port?
Peddler's Port is a seaside location that you can unlock by going through the main storyline in Louise Hill. Once unlocked, you can visit Peddler's Port any time without using up a town hop!

WINTER FESTIVITIES
We're working hard on coding, quest writing, art assets, and planning for the winter event to take place some time in February! As a small hint, the winter event mechanics this year revolve around the act of giving and receiving. We'll have more details for you before the event begins!

VAER REEF QUEST UPDATE
We're still working on revisions for the story quests and affection side quests in Vaer Reef, the writing priority has temporarily shifted to the winter event quests but we'll be prioritizing this again once the event quests are complete.

CUSTOM MAKER SUBMISSION
We're still finetuning the adjustments to the system for custom pets and clothing, we want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible for both users and art staff once this feature is launched. Due to the winter event currently taking precedent, we're hoping to launch submission in either February or relatively soon after that in March. Thank you very much for your patience!

ADDITIONAL MISCELLANEOUS CONTENT
We're working on adding additional content to different parts of the game for variety, this includes additional alchemy recolours for existing items, new items and recipes to various parts of the site, new pets, and lots more. The ways to obtain these items and pets will become clear once we start to push them out in the coming months.

With each new permanent clothing item update, we'll also be working on outline adjustments for existing site items to be pushed along with them.

PLANNED BALANCING & ADJUSTMENTS
In the background, we've been working on planning out some extensive adjustments to improve the game's flow and sense of reward, as well as boosting play longevity. This will consist of adjustments to multiple parts of the site such as quests, user experience/interface, content variety, and other mechanic updates.

Once our plans are ready to be announced, we'll update everyone with a roadmap of the series of updates we'll be rolling out. This is something in our priority list that may take some time as it requires very careful planning, we're looking forward to continuously improving the game!

COMMUNICATION ORGANIZATION
Recently, we made a changelog post about communication here. It covers our current policies, areas we've improved on, and areas we'd like to improve on for communication. Going forward, we'll also be taking a look at how to streamline our different channels of communication (news posts, changelogs, status posts) so that the userbase is fully informed more easily.

MAIN STORYLINE CONTINUATION
Along with everything else, we've been working on and planning the next town's content in the background. The release of a new town is still a ways off, but we'll keep you posted on its progress as we work. Since we're in our first year of Dappervolk, there are still some very important core features and gameplay updates we have to do, which is why some content updates were pushed back. Once things begin to iron out more, we'll be able to dedicate more time to content updates like this to move the storyline forward!
