• Speak to the First Mate at the Shipwreck to begin the quest "The Captain Behind the Curtain"
• There are 5 quests in total, to be unlocked in succession.
• 2 quests will be repeatable, allowing for progression and accumulation of currency.
• The Neat Ship Shop is stocked with Aeolin items and will be open all month, taking Sand Dollars as currency!
• Other than quests, Sand Dollars can also be obtained through Random Encounters, Adventuring, and Vaer Sea Forage.
  

 
SPRING EVENT PREPARATION
After initially postponing the event launch date due to the size of our recipe balancing update, our preparation is coming along well! We'll be posting an announcement news post with details once we're ready. Thank you everyone for your patience, we're excited to spend spring time with you!

CUSTOM QUEUE
Last month, we needed to focus on other artwork so April's batch of new customs was pushed into May. We're planning to catch up on this delay by claiming an extra custom or two each month in which there's time to claim extras. This means that instead of just 6 claims in a month, there may be 7-8 for a few months going forward depending on our workload for that month.

QUEST BALANCING
We're preparing for our Louise Hill Daily Quest Rebalancing update this month along with the Spring Event. We're hoping to get the update out late this month while also not overlapping too much with other updates. Our plan after getting the first town's rebalancing done is to push out one town's rebalancing every month or two until all existing town dailies have been rebalanced, along with the additional stock in their shops.

BETA CHANGELOG & ROADMAP THREAD
These two items are on our to-do list, and will remain here until they are complete! Our aim currently is to get these items done once event preparation and some items above are in order.

• All recipes currently obtainable on site have been moved to be sold in the Officiator's Record Office shop.
• Recipes in the shop can be purchased with Record Tokens, a new permanently available currency item!
  

• Record Tokens are a permanently available, tradeable currency item. Visit the Officiator in Peddler's Port and do the Official Token Exchange daily quest in order to obtain them.
• Each time 20 tokens worth of items are purchased from the Record Office, a free item can be claimed from Bonus Prizes in the shop. These include Officiator clothing items and legendary pet recipes.
• The Officiator currently asks for item alchemy to be performed in exchange for tokens, over time the task required may change.
• In the future, we would like to code in a new item hand in UI in the daily quest for a better item sink interface.
  

• The purpose of this update is to tackle several balancing improvements including recipe distribution, RNG pool appeal, and item sinks.
• Recipe items were found all around the site but in essence you only really needed one of each recipe.
• This update will make obtaining recipes purposeful instead of by chance, and frees up the space in various reward pools for new and more interesting items.
• We also took the chance to create an item sink quest and shop so we're looking forward to seeing how this impacts the game!
  

   
RECIPE BALANCING
Our artist team is working hard on completing all the assets for recipe balancing! We have a number of things left to do such as final assets, item sink quest planning, rearranging item pools, and shop planning, which we'll be focusing on this month along with event preparation. We're hoping to release the recipe rebalance some time this month before the spring event, wish us luck!

SPRING EVENT PREPARATION
We're currently working hard on the event overhaul coding, artwork, and storyline for the Spring event! Depending on how things progress, we will hold the event either near the end of April or in early May if we need the extra time. We'll keep you updated and post an announcement news post when we're ready to announce the event start date. We're excited to share the new event with everyone!

QUEST BALANCING
Our artist team's workload after the recipe rebalancing assets is the quest balancing new Louise Hill shop items, everything is progressing at a fair pace currently. We're also working on updating and testing rebalanced dailies for the town to make sure they work well and are well balanced.

• The ingredients to make the hatching item can be found in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shops' Bonus Prize pools.
• Alchemize 4 Spring Seeds + 1 Spring Soil to get the Spring Fruit hatching item!
• The item alchemy recipe is available by default in your recipe book.
• This Seasonal Pet will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of May to be replaced by a pet for the next season.
• Seasonal pets are obtainable annually on a rotation! The hatching items can be alchemized at any time of the year.

QOL UPDATES
A few QoL updates are ready to be pushed to the site some time this week, including bulk alchemy, a front page latest updates link bar, and various other fixes!

SPRING EVENT PREPARATION
We're planning an overhaul to our Spring Co-op style event to make it feel more truly co-op based. Along with changes to the existing system we're also planning on adding new mechanics to the event for some extra fun. The upcoming Spring event will arrive some time in April, with plenty of new content in store for everyone!

RECIPE BALANCING
We're continuing our work on this update this month, to ideally be ready with it some time in April if everything goes well! For those who didn't see our plans for this update, check the "Item Reward Pool Expansions" section in this news post for more info!

QUEST BALANCING
We're working on balancing the dailies in Louise Hill, and are hoping to launch it after April! The update won't just consist of daily errand rebalancing, but will also include new items in every NPC shop within the town. Our plan is to roll out a rebalancing & additional shop stock update for each town in succession.

Here are some plans for improvements for future events like this that we've accumulated from hosting this event!

• We'll be adding more areas to obtain embellishments such as more daily quest rewards, other site mechanics, etc! This way, users will have an easier time getting embellishments and wrapping up more presents for the pool.
• We'll also be looking into some additional daily reward claims to add to the tree.
• Mostly after introducing the reroll button near the end of this event and the improvements listed above, we just need to work on balancing improvements for next year!
  

Our next event is going to be a Spring Event some time in April with revamped co-op style mechanics! We'll be back with other updates in the meantime.
