Wow, thank you so much for actually giving us more swaps in today's update! :D Very much appreciate you guys sympathizing with us witch superfans. <3

Okay team Glume, I'm putting in my efforts for 1st so I can possibly switch to Barclay's aid. XD

Could more team swaps be given out, please? I thought swapping was truly random, as this news post states, but it seems that it's actually heavily skewed to placing you in one of the two "losing" teams instead of the first-place team so I completely wasted my two new ones earlier trying to get on Barclay's team. You've made people waste their team swaps thinking it was really random.

Understandable, at the very least going forward I hope it'll be a bit more fair to people to actually play the game/spin the gacha as those are the people actually contributing to site. It's nice to be rewarded for playing, imo.
I'd love to see a custom token system where the legendary item is a redeemable for a maker of choice going forward instead of... how it is now. I think a lot of people want a specific maker type.

Thank you staff team for putting together this event. I'm having more fun on dappervolk than in months n_n looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds!

Maybe it's just me but could the location of the 'switch teams' button be moved?

When you're mindlessly refreshing every 3 minutes to press the dual button it's WAY too easy to press the change team button without even thinking considering it's proximity to the dual and claim rewards button. I had accidentally switched teams without even realizing until I got sent to the profile of someone on mycel's team and realized I was suddenly on glume. THANKFULLY I had my team switches still but that could be devastating if you didn't have those available or weren't able to rejoin your team... 😨😨

Rerolled the team all four times and didn't get Barclay sobs.... I get that this system is so teams are balanced, but I want to help my boi.....

    The event looks exciting though!

Not trying to be rude at all but tbf, it is possible it's fully random but you just got bad luck. A coin flip is 50/50 but sometimes you get heads 10 times in a row- randomness doesn't necessarily mean an even distribution.

I don't disagree that it *seems* weighted toward placing you on the lower point teams(I also rolled for Barclay when he happened to be in 1st place unsuccessfully) but I don't think we can know for sure at this point.

    --------

Really enjoying the event, it's very nice and low-stress. All the little art touches like the tinted 3's Forest, profile/post additions, etc are beautiful. It's great that the teams all receive the same item rewards, I was worried at first that there would be exclusive team-based apparel or trophies awarded.

Grateful for the changes like showing total duels next to wins, the additional swaps, and reward tiers changing from wins to total played. It's very nice to see these big QoL changes rolled out so quickly into the event.

    Feedback for the event:
While I am enjoying the event so far, one thing that really bugs me is that due to my timezone, oftentimes my duels will go unanswered. It is something out of my hands, but it does feel unreasonably punishing, since the draw that automatically results from an unanswered duel gives me no event currency.

(In general it is counterintuitive that a draw results in less rewards than a loss.....)

If the idea is that people who aren't online themselves and let duels sit unanswered don't get a lot of rewards for that, I get that, but now it is punishing the one who IS online and doing their best.
I think the best solution would be for the rewards of a loss and a draw to be reversed, and that whoever initiated a duel automatically wins after 8 hours of no reply.

This morning I woke up to 20-odd duels I initiated before I went to sleep that all had been unanswered. I put in the effort for those 20 duals. And I got no event currency for that effort.

BlackRose (#9895) Yeah I know, but just seeing how many people have said they swapped the full 4 times only to be ping-ponged between the two lower teams and then how many people timed their swaps when a team they wanted was in third and got into that team (and I saw a few times it happened in their first swap) is weird. So only having a vague "at random" statement along with the player information I'm just inclined to believe it isn't actually random. I'd happily accept being proven wrong if DV came out with a statement clarifying the suspicions, but as it is now, a lot points at it not just being bad luck and a coincidence in my opinion.

Whoop, sorry, had my ID copied instead. That was meant for Calix (#5919). xD

I get you, I had that experience too with the ping-ponging. But maybe worth considering that most people who seek to talk about the swapping will be people who had bad rolls. Like how with online reviews people are 2-3x more likely to leave a review if their experience was negative vs positive. I think it's possible a lot of people are also swapping and getting perfectly balanced rolls but aren't talking about it.

Not saying you're wrong, just speculating on a possibility ^^

Can't lie the ratio of my duels and wins almost feels like I'm the reason for Mycel's drop to 3rd place

    36/115 duels won :')
  • Villager Hippie (#24494) 26 Nov 2022, 10:10 am
exciting event but I am sad I couldn't get put on the team I wanted :( even after rerolling all 4 times waa
  • Villager Astraeus (#34285) 28 Nov 2022, 9:06 pm
I'm glad for however yall managed to keep the teams balanced, because the fight has been sooo close so far! It could really go to anyone, not like other sites' team things where you just have to pick the most popular team to even dream of winning. It sucks not everyone can get the team they want, but it's so much more fun not knowing whose pic you're gonna wake up to in the banner!!! :)
  • Villager rooty (#9947) 29 Nov 2022, 4:36 am
I wonder if there would be a way to let users trade teams for future events like this. So the teams stay balanced since it's a 1:1 swap, but people can still get the teams they'd like to be in.
