Hello everyone, welcome to our first Adventuring Riddle Writing Contest hosted after site launch! This time for our first town, Louise Hill. We'll be holding riddle contests for each town once in a while to bolster the riddle count in each area!

• You can write and submit as many riddles as you can come up with within the time frame of this contest.
• Each user can enter as many times as they want, but they can only get up to 4 riddles accepted!
• Make sure you enter your correct username and ID!
• You must write your own riddles, no plagiarism allowed!
  

• Each riddle that we choose to use in adventuring will grant you 75 turnips on site!
• 25 Pet Accessory Makers, 15 Premium Badges (30 Day), and 1 Premium Badge (90 day) will be raffled off to all participants.
• We may increase the number of prizes depending on the number of entrants.
• Each participant can only win a raffled item prize once!
• All prizes will be sent to each winner on site at the end of the contest.
  

The riddle question itself can be up to a paragraph or as short as a sentence.
Maximum length is 8 lines. It can rhyme or be succinctly worded, the choice is yours.

For riddles in Louise Hill, we'll be looking for thematically fitting riddles, so riddles related to farming, temperate meadows and hills, vegetables, produce, and the NPC’s of the town, etc will have an advantage. We judge based on cleverness of subject matter and writing flow!FAQ
How do I write a Dappervolk style riddle?

Do you have any tips on how best I can get my riddle selected?
Things that factor into our judging process are the uniqueness of the answer, how easy it is to guess (try to avoid using words that allude directly to the answer), if the riddle makes sense, and how well a riddle is written.

Can I use existing riddles found on the internet?
Plagiarism is against the rules, please write your own riddles! We cannot use creative property made by other parties on Dappervolk without permission from the actual creators. Plagiarism found on any of your riddles will cause all entries submitted by you within this contest to be disqualified.

Ever since the site launched, we've been very excited for players to finally get to experience the Guilds system that we've invested quite a bit of time into developing! However, there have been some new and unanticipated bugs discovered recently onsite that directly tie into core Guild functions, which would ultimately be game-breaking if left unchecked. Since these bugs tie into major aspects of Guild functionality, we've made the tough decision to temporarily close Guild creation until we can make sure it's in fully working order. Some of these new bugs include:

• Quest Task Tracking Issues - Directly impacts the guild upgrade and leveling system.
• Forum Permissions Issues - Impacts the guild forum experience.
• Live Chat Issues - New issues with server routing have impacted the live chat functionality.
• Misc Smaller Issues - Ie. Tooltip/mouseover glitching, 404 errors occurring after various updates since launch, etc.
  

The Guild system is a major undertaking with a great deal of coding intricacies, so we'd like to give our developers the time they need to make sure that we are putting our best foot forward with this feature for everyone to be able to enjoy to its fullest potential. TIME FRAME
We're anticipating at least a couple of weeks from now to get Guilds fixed up, but we'll be working as hard as we can to get it to you as quickly as possible. We'll be updating everyone as soon as possible with as much advance notice as we can, once we know when we can re-open Guild creation!

In the meantime, we'll be creating a Guilds subforum for our community to plan out their guilds in advance. Our dedicated moderators will be assisting in moving existing Guild threads over to this subforum for a more concentrated browsing and hang out area!

We'll be starting a new riddle contest during the coming month, where everyone in the community is invited to submit their most creative Adventuring riddles themed around our first Adventuring location: Louise Hill!
All riddles that are selected will become permanent additions to Adventuring, and their authors will receive a Turnip currency prize. All entrants will have a chance to win some additional raffled prizes as well!
 

We are also excited to announce that we have a planned Summer Event that will take place some time in August! A news update with more details about the event will be released approximate a week before it will be set to begin.

As a bit of a sneak peak, we will be bringing back our cooperative/competitive event type from our beta testing phase, now featuring new adjustments based on player feedback and a brand new storyline in time for summer! We have a feeling you'll be seeing a few of your favorite early town NPC's in this event — we hope everyone will enjoy it when the time comes!

The Mothlike items will be retiring at the end of July 2020, to be changed over to August's theme along with our planned adjustments to Pai's shop and Premium perk additions!
All monthly shop items will eventually be very rarely obtainable through a new feature which will be released a few months down the line.

Hello everyone! We're looking to continue to bolster our Discord Moderation team in response to the rise in activity since launch.
If you'd like to help us moderate the Official Dappervolk Discord Server, all details are below.

The position of a Dappervolk Discord Moderator entails:

• Engaging with the community.
• Answering moderator-related or general site questions in the #dappervolk-help channel.
• Keep channels on topic.
• Being a "Doorman" in the intros channel and giving accepted newbies the potato rank.
• Reporting & addressing minor user misconduct.

Due to the potential volume of emails, we may not be able to reply to every application, but thank you to everyone in advance for volunteering to help our community become the best it can be! 

We've recently been working on improving our referral system. This rework should benefit those that play and progress in the game, as well as improve on our security in regards to rule breaking.

• Referring users will no longer receive a referral point right when a user signs up using their referral, but only at different stages of in game progress.
• This means that even though you may not receive a referral point right away, you have the chance to receive multiple points for each user who names you as their referral as they progress through the game.
• All users with referred users linked to their account will retroactively receive a referral point for each progress gate that has been met so far.
  

We're working on refining Adventuring and fixing all bugs related to it. Here are a couple of new updates/fixes!

• Captchas will now no longer take up an encounter! You may meet someone familiar on the road, an official of sorts.
• Your pet's icon will now appear on the Pet Affection Bar's tooltip.
• Various startup/loading bugs have been fixed, we're working to find and fix any additional bugs reported to the forums!
  

• The automatic shuffle function has now been added for when you run out of moves!
• Various bugs such as the scoring bugs are still being investigated.
