• Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
• These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
• All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
Here's a look into what we're prioritizing currently, along with smaller QoL fixes and updates. This month, we'll be focusing on maintaining our routine art asset duties including monthly sets and the custom queue, and various updates outlined below.

CUSTOM PET & ITEM COPY MAKERS
This feature is something we'll be looking to release this month, along with our second completed batch of custom requests! Here are some details on what the feature will be like:

• The functionality to duplicate custom items/pets will be added to special on site items.
• These items will be obtainable from Agnes's shop as well as occasionally through gameplay.

ARTIST HIRING
We're getting ready to open artist applications this month! We're looking to assemble a team of onsite artists to slowly train into their individual roles. It will also be greatly helpful to have a team to bounce ideas around creatively with. The application requirements will be having a portfolio to showcase your general artwork as well as filling out a form outlining some info on yourself and what you're interested in. More details will be made available when artist applications are open.

WISHING WELL THREAD
We're planning to start a Wishing Well thread in which users can post wishes for items or pets they would like to see on site. We'll then be picking out some wishes to fulfill each month and drawing them in our development streams.

DEVELOPMENT STREAM
We'll be hosting a monthly development art stream from now on! This month, the art stream will take place on:
JULY 15TH, 3PM DVT
A status post with a link to the stream will be posted when it begins!

BETA CHANGELOG & RETROSPECTIVE
We're still working on assembling our changelog from closed development, and we're planning to include a retrospective on what was accomplished, what went wrong, and what we learned for the future. This is something we're working on, but we're not sure if it will be posted this month. When it is, it will be presented in either the changelog or in a new thread depending on length.

ROADMAP THREAD
While working on our balancing roadmap, we decided that it might be beneficial to set up a general roadmap thread. It would be updated periodically with adjustments and additions as time goes on. It would contain an itemized list of each future update we'll be focusing on in succession. For now, we've been including our goals and priorities for the month in each monthly news post, as well as in our Changelog thread.

JOHANESS FOUND AN EGG

• Johaness has found a mysterious egg and wants your company while he waits for it to hatch. Humour him!
• Roll tasks each day to help fill the progression bar and unlock progress in the story.
• You can roll tasks up to 25 times per day, and each roll will give you a set of 3 tasks.
• Gain points for each completed task and redeem prizes which will unlock throughout the event.
• There will be overtime reward goals unlocked after the main event bar is filled, with rewards for these goals unlocking for all event participants!
  

To access the event quest, visit the new seasonal area - the Shipwreck! Go to the World Map and find it next to Aviar Cove.

• Speak to the First Mate at the Shipwreck to begin the quest "The Captain Behind the Curtain"
• There are 5 quests in total, to be unlocked in succession.
• 2 quests will be repeatable, allowing for progression and accumulation of rewards.
  

• The Neat Ship Shop will open on the second day of the event on June 22nd at 12AM DVT.
• The shop will remain open until July 8th at 11:59PM DVT.
• Shop stock will include all seasonal spring clothing, totems, and more!
• All rewards obtainable via the Co-op event page and quests will also be purchaseable in this shop.
  

WAYS TO OBTAIN SAND DOLLARS
Sand dollars are the currency for the Spring Event and will be obtainable the following ways:

• Claiming prizes in the Johaness' Egg Hatch Co-op Event
• Completing the Seasonal Event Quests, starting with "The Captain Behind the Curtain" at the Shipwreck
• Adventuring Gifts and Bar Rewards
• Playground Minigames
• Random Encounters
• Random Item Alchemy
• Event Contest Participation Rewards
  

• We'll be drawing some new seasonal anniversary content to be made available on June 23rd on site.
• Info on how to obtain these items will be posted when the Anniversary content is released!
  

Since the oldest pet will officially be 1 year old today, we'd like to inform you of a Pet Birthday feature!

• On your pet's birthday, it will be showered with confetti on its profile page.
• You can click on the birthday cake button to present your birthday pet with a gift from your inventory.
• Each pet species has one most favourite item, which will give you extra affection and go towards a new achievement!
• Presents which aren't the pet's favourite will be received depending on the pet's nature.
• Happy birthday to all one year old pets!
  

UPCOMING SPRING EVENT INFO
Here are some details on the upcoming Spring Event!

• You'll be rolling tasks each day in order to help fill the progression bar and unlock progress in the story!

• We've made a good deal of changes to the way the event works as well as grind balancing and we're looking forward to seeing how it pans out.
• We'll be making a conclusions news post after the event ends which will include future plans for improvement for the next event!
  

SEASONAL MAP, NPC, QUEST, SHOP

• There will be a special seasonal mini town available to be visited during the event!
• A new seasonal NPC also inhabits this new area, with a set of event quests which can be completed for seasonal rewards.
• The new seasonal town along with its NPC will disappear once the event ends, to return annually.
• An event shop will become accessible at 12AM on June 22nd, stocked with all seasonal items for spring.
• Event currency will be earned through the CO-OP event, Seasonal Event Quests, and various site mechanics.
  

There will be an Avatar Contest and a Creativity Prompt contest held during the event!

• The recipe for this seasonal pet's hatching item is unlocked by default, the ingredients are in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shop Bonus Prize pools.
• This Seasonal Pet will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of August to be replaced by a new pet.
• Seasonal pets will be obtainable annually on a rotation! The items the seasonal pets hatch from can be alchemized at any time of year as long as you have the shards.
• The item alchemy recipe for the hatching item is automatically unlocked for all users, you can view it in your item alchemy page.

DAPPERVOLK ANNIVERSARY
June 21st is the date of Dappervolk's first anniversary! We're so excited to celebrate one year with our lovely community. There will be some small collectibles to obtain and a development art stream around the Anniversary. More details will be posted once they are concrete!

CUSTOMS QUEUE
Our main artist is currently working on 5-10 items/pets as the first completed batch of custom maker requests! We're aiming to complete one batch like this per month for the time being. If you have a request in the queue that is marked as assigned, that means that it's currently being worked on! We'll also be making an expansion on the custom system with the completion of the first batch that will allow copies to be created by custom owners.

ARTIST HIRING
We're getting ready to start on a search to expand our artist team! The first step will be to find artists with the potential to match the site's style who are willing to join our new Junior art team. We'll be easing our team into creating site assets with simpler tasks initially. More info on this will be posted once we finalize details.

We've prepared 21 new items which are alternative colours for the following:

We updated a total of 317 items this time, here's a list of which items were adjusted!
