Winter Festivities Conclusion!
Hello everyone, thank you so much for participating in our
First Winter Festivities! We hope you had a great time exploring
the Constellation Library, and getting a peek into the
motivations of the elusive peddlers - Pai, Agnes and Oran.

Here are some end of event stats you might be interested in!
In total, 2744 users participated in wrapping up 113174 gifts in the Winter Tree!

213 users made 1261 submissions in the Bauble Decoration Contest!
187 users made 895 submissions in the Creativity Prompt Contest!
84 pages of submissions were made in the Avatar Contest Thread!

Reviewing the submissions to these contests was a major highlight of the event for us. There were so many amazing entries, ranging from avatars that made us nostalgic, to uniquely beautiful artwork and writing across the bauble and creativity contests. There were even delicious looking pastries we hope their bakers enjoyed!

Here are some plans for improvements for future events like this that we've accumulated from hosting this event!
  • For the sake of future gifting events, we'll be working on balancing item rarity better across the site.
  • We’ll be looking into the rarity matching of gift donations vs. claims to see if we can equalize the system better.
  • We’ll be adjusting Pai’s daily quest “Perusing the Constellation Library” to have a better indication of unlock progress on the final quest. For future quests with this style of unlock, the progress will also be shown more clearly.
  • We’ll be looking into adjusting the layout of the Winter Tree so that less scrolling is required to see the main content.
  • We’ll be adding easier tracking of the event currencies in the winter tree.
  • We’ll be improving on our contest threads that we tried out this event in order to make the experience better.

Our next event is going to be a Spring Event! Before that, we will be working on launching a number of other updates which we'll be posting more info about soon.

    This event was a little odd since it felt heavily Christmas themed.. and it's March, so I hope the next event's theme will make more sense. 😂 I'm honestly excited, and I hope school won't get in the way of me participating just like how it did this month.

    This event was a vast improvement over the last one. I think you guys are on the right track. :) I'm a little bummed that I got so close to the Gift 75 tier and got blocked out by lack of wrapping paper riiiiight at the end, but it is what it is.

    It did get repetitive, but the contests helped a lot! I thought they were great.

    Unpopular opinion; I don't really feel like it was better than the autumn one. The autumn one was a really big improvement from the summer one. This one had more at each owns pacing, but not really that much more than the autumn one. The autumn one had better planning and communication than this one. It is just not there yet.

    I liked the idea of a bauble and avatar contest, but sadly the avatar contest was only really there for the first 10 days (I'm a loser who thought I could submit after the 15th). Also, the amount of things that are off-site were just as high. We need more on-site tools to join. Just directly uploading pictures to the site would be a huge improvement.

    Thank you so much for this fun event! The avatar dress-up portion was my FAVORITE part, and I enjoyed wrapping presents for users too! :D Looking forward to the spring event!

    Thank you, staff, for enjoying my poem! I enjoyed this event as well.

    Laegume (#20906), the mismatch between the wintery theme and it being in March is because they meant to start it earlier but had to make sure everything was ready, and I think it took a little longer because of that from what I remember being mentioned on the changelogs. Next year they'll likely have it closer to North American winter season.

    Loved everything about this event. ♡ Wonderful story full of lore, I love getting to know the characters. And I built up my Oran bonus by rolling for gifts. d('_-) Wasn't too hard to get all the wrapping paper I needed for gifts or the tomes needed for prizes.

    Nice to know about the little quality of life updates that will make it even better next time!

    Just for the record, I really enjoyed the Autumn event, too! Of course, that's partially 'cos it took place in my favorite town... but I even liked the Summer event. ;D
