Hey there, looks like you just wandered in. Why not have a look around and stay for a while, maybe even start your own adventure, if you're into that.

August 20th Updates!

Hello everyone, we hope you're well. We have a quick update for you on some new features, fixes, and upcoming things we've been working on behind the scenes!

We now have a storage box for all items you want to keep safely!
The storage box is located in the Inventory page via the Storage tab.

  • All items in the inventory can be moved to storage by selecting the items as normal within the inventory.
  • All items in storage cannot be traded, gifted, alchemized, used in quests, given to pets, etc.
  • To withdraw items from the storage box, simply go to the storage tab and select items to withdraw.
  • Withdrawn items return to the inventory.

Smaller Updates
  • Item Tooltips now display the item type upon mouseover with colour coding!
  • Some parsing issues were causing the word filter to occasionally not work, this should now be fixed!
  • The Referral and Registration page text have been updated to be more accurate!

Here are some updates on our plans for upcoming features!

Summer Festivities Event
A reminder that our Summer Festivities Event begins on August 20th, 2020 @ 11:59:59pm DVT! We're excited to share in the celebration with you!
Guild Creation
We'll be officially opening Guild Creation soon, after we get the event running smoothly!
We're nearly ready and are doing our final rounds of tests and fixes to make sure it's as bug free as possible.
Custom Maker Submission
The custom maker submission system will be officially opened after we have Guild Creation open!

We have a few art asset related updates that we will be slowly rolling out in between higher priority features!

Clothing Additions & Adjustments
  • More skintones will be added to the early game in the future, including a larger variety of darker skintones!
  • We'll be gradually adjusting the darker outlines on some early game items to be subtler while still working well with darker skins.
  • A few items that were updated during closed development seem to have unintentionally gotten less saturated, we'll be correcting this over time as well.
  • We've added a function to set a pause to animated items which we'll be utilizing later for new as well as existing animated items. This should help alleviate the cluttered effect of an animated item looping immediately.

Adventuring Sprite Appearance Icons
To give users a better idea of what a sprite appearance looks like before they purchase or equip it, we're working on more detailed minisprite icons to replace the current circular colour swatch ones.

As always, thank you all so much for the support.
Be on the lookout for more updates soon!

Y’all, these updates are amazing. I don’t see any reason for any complaints here.

Most excited to see art hopefully reverted closer to beta style. Layering is much harder and the inconsistent lines make me nuts. But its also nice to see a vault. Now all trades I want an item from wont be a disappointment because they are titled -dno storage- or whatever.

Also, anyone worried about pets being alchemized. Put a totem on the pet. It makes them not show as an option for alchemy :U

    AMEN, STORAGE!!! <33

I’m excited to hear that the art is being fixed. It was one of the decisions that bothered me to the point that I wanted to leave. (I can especially see it on my avatar where the cat tail and the outline of the wings don’t match the black lines on the Obsidian Hair or Rosethorn items.) This latest news makes me feel like finally you guys are trying to listen to your base. Like everyone else, I am still cautiously optimistic about the updates as we’ve been burned before, but I am happy something is being done about it.

Taters (#9357) My Keeper pets ALL have totems and they still show up on the alchemy menu.

Waahoo!!! We desperately needed storage. Thank you so much. That'll keep the trading post clutter-free, and protect my inventory.

People need to calm down on criticizing people who are unhappy with things the DV team has done and then voicing their concerns about it. They've (the DV team) very obviously made mistakes, big mistakes that upset people (especially paying people, that I feel is the big reason a lot are upset, because money is in the matter), and the way they've gone to answer them hasn't made many any happier. Nowhere have I ever seen a single comment that could be labeled as rude or mean or anything, they're all just simple criticism over choices that have been being made by the DV team. The ones that could be taken as rude or mean are those calling the previous commenter's names.

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the people who are unhappy with these things really want to see DV succeed. So we're pointing out things we don't like, both changes to the site and the choices made by the team as far as communicating goes, so they can better the site and themselves.

Dang it did for a while but seems to not be the case anymore. Either way I just made alch only pens of each location. Makes it much easier and fool proof. Still not perfect or as good as locking pets/pet storage. But it aint bad.
