Spring & Anniversary Conclusion!
Hello everyone, thank you very much for participating in our first Spring Festivities and celebrating our First Anniversary with us! This has been such a special year and we were so happy to share it with all of you. We're looking forward to the future and hope you enjoyed the event!

Here are some end of event stats you might be interested in!
In total, 2682 users participated in completing 731683 tasks for Johaness' Egg Hatch!

173 users got to the Seed Prize Tier.
101 users got to the Sprout Prize Tier.
176 users got to the Sapling Prize Tier.
119 users got to the Shoot Prize Tier.
48 users got to the Bud Prize Tier.
1195 users got to the Blossom Prize Tier.
All three Overtime rewards were unlocked for all participants!

130 users made 601 submissions in the Creativity Prompt Contest!
392 users made 1115 submissions in the Avatar Dress Up Contest!

Going through everyone's contest submissions has been the best part of the event for us. So many rarely seen clothing combinations, creativity in the prose, beautiful artwork and lovely craftmaking! We'd like to give a huge thank you to all participants for putting your creative efforts into our prompts and themes.

This event type is one of two event types that we currently have. This is the third iteration of the Co-op type event and our Winter event was the first iteration of the Gifting type event. We'll be making adjustments to each event type in order to improve them each year.

Here are some plans for improvements for future co-op type events that we've accumulated with the feedback from hosting this event!
  • In order to reduce stress, we're planning to outline more clearly the amount of play/effort required to obtain rewards in events going forward.
  • We'll be looking to avoid awarding duplicate event items as rewards for different aspects of the event while keeping them accessible to all participants.
  • We're planning to do a rework of the Co-op event type to achieve the following:
    • Allow more freedom to do the tasks you want to do by having tasks and points passively track from the start of the event.
    • Incorporate more of a co-op element to the event by adjusting tasks and the main event bar.
    • Add a new mechanic unique to this event type that isn't simply highlighting existing site mechanics.

Our next event will be a Fall event some time in October! We'll be launching our first iteration of a whole new event type. We've decided to forego the Summer event this year due to the Spring event having been delayed into summer, this should give us a bit of a headstart on the upcoming Fall festivities and allow us to get on schedule.

    will miss the summer event especially the pet but still excited that this will hopefully create the opportunity for an even better fall event!!!

    A little sad for no Ingi pet this year and no items for newbies, but this is a good decision. Allow you to get back on schedule and allow the playerbase a break between events. Also really happy to see all the ideas for future plans for Co-op events !
    A bit off-topic but I hope we'll get the other Deities' pets and lore too, though I guess not in the form of big events. But right now it feels weird to have 4 deities "favored" over the others by having a quest and a pet inspired by them. Not to say I'm unhappy about more lore and more pets, on the contrary, just that it'd be logical done the line for the other deities to have pets too (despite not having an event each month, imo).
    I'm exited for the next Fall event ! Having been there for the first one, it'll be exiting to see the new event type ! Wish you all the luck for a smooth and on-time event launching !

    Very happy to see the summer event being skipped this year, as it'll be really nice having the autumn one in season! (^___^) Was curious as to what the summer event pet would be, as well, but I agree that skipping the event was the best move. While I can't say I had a lot of fun with the spring event, I enjoyed the autumn and winter events, and so I'm looking forward to them again, this year. :D

    A bit bummed for no summer event BUT I totally agree with the decision, it'd be better to get a head start on autumn than to overwork the staff to have summer and fall, with the chance those would get delayed as well.

    Plus I'm more a fan of fall anyway!

    Thank you so much for the event! The prizes were so cute, and I really liked the new Shipwreck and the little story. I also had fun achieving the overtime goals!

    For the Avatar Dress-Up contest... maybe we could use a different mechanic for submissions. The amount of likes on a submission strongly correlates to its position in the thread, with the first outfit on the first page having an advantage of getting the most eyes on it (and therefore the most likes). This is especially vexing since the finalists in the Avatar contest are partially determined by their amount of likes! And by the time the submission thread gets to 80+ pages, no one is hunting through to find their favorite outfits, which puts the rest of the contestants at a disadvantage.

    Perhaps there could be a dedicated forum for Acatar Dress-Up contests, and each user makes a thread of their submissions. That way, each user is afforded their own space to share their outfits, instead of being buried in the thread because they're not on page one.

    Just a thought!

    I understand the summer event delay but, admittedly, I'm really disappointed! I was looking forward to it with all the improvements shown in this event.

    Thanks for the spring event! Had a great time, and with no stress getting through the tiers for prizes.

    I'm glad the summer event will be skipped, I really was not a fan of having season events during a completely different irl seasons, having autumn event in autumn will actually feel like it is planned y'know, and will also put me into the element as well, if that makes sense. :> I cannot wait to see the changes and updates! Thank you!
