I've only done a few sets of rolled tasks so far and I already hated the time gating on the first one. -_- A limited number of dailies has no need to be time-gated. There is no story to be given with these that may be better extended out, it doesn't make the event any more fun or interactive to need to wait longer to get more, it doesn't seem like there's anything special hidden where if you do your dailies super fast you'll then have to wait a bit to see the reveal of it (and even is so, who cares). These are not unlimited dailies where it might have been the idea to keep people from grinding constantly to get tons of points.

For menial tasks like these, I want to get through them real quick. One two three done, on to the next. As like I said, they don't add any story so I don't need to pay close attention and I can rush through without missing anything at all. If anything, rushing through them makes me happier since I know I've completed the full amount for that day and I don't need to stress myself to remember or try to make time around my regular life to come back on later to finish them.

I also agree that these are really bleeding us dry. Feed a pet twice, give two recipes, etc. One is enough for having 25 sets per day, and this is going on for 14(?) days. That's 350 sets. I know not all of them will be the material-eating ones, but I'm still going to run out of recipes real quick with the rate it's going.

Putting aside all of that though (but I do still hope you guys are hearing us and that all will change), I am really enjoying the event so far! The story has been interesting and I look forward to seeing what happens next. ^-^ I'm really wanting to see what the shop prices are going to be though since I'm worried if I don't do any of the creativity prompts I'll miss out on items, and I don't know if I really have the time to do them this time. I'd also like to know why the shops don't open on the same day as the event start. I know sometimes sites will hold off to gauge how much currency players are earning to then price the items, but one day seems too short for that.

are you guys trying to push all the remaining users away with this event? because most people haven't been playing enough (because you guys refuse to balance the game even after literal YEARS of complaints and suggestions) to save up enough items needed for all these turn-ins, and the new players? Are you trying to make sure no one else plays this game? You think any new players are going to be able to participate in this event with the absurd item gobbling tasks? I am beyond fed up with this.

    Happy first anniversary!
I agree that having the tasks with a time gate doesn't make sense considering there's a cap to the amount of times the tasks can be completed each day; just get rid of the time gate entirely and keep the task limit. I also agree that the amount of item submission tasks is alarming and will likely create problems for most players by the end of the first week (probably before). Some of the items, like food, are easy to resupply and aren't an issue. But other item submission tasks, such as the pens and recipes, are going to lead to players getting stuck (especially newer players). If all the item tasks are kept, at least have a re-roll option, even if that's time gated.

Could you please make the recipes fall from the heavens to help the players? They cost too much in the tradesmarket, beyond what a lot of players can afford for a turn in event. You are asking for waaaay too many recipes this time around. When you don't play much and don't have a lot to begin with ad the last event wiped you out, this is not helping. Nor is this fun. It is tedious and grindy. Please allow us to choose what we want to do. Get rid of this roll tasks garbage. It rolls the same expensive stuff. I'll be able to last through half of today. Please allow us to skip items we do not have. This is ridiculous. Are you trying to hurt us?

Exactly this. I don’t see what the point of the timers is other than to add needless

This. I’m a relatively “rich” player, and I can already see my (pretty large TBH) stock of recipes quickly starting to dwindle.
Spinning a chance wheel 3x a round multiple times daily is also going to add up quickly for casual players that don’t have a lot of potatoes stashed up.

Maybe this year as an anniversary present to the entire userbase, you could actually listen to insights we have instead of throwing them out the window
  • Villager Sheelah (#9263) 22 Jun 2021, 12:28 am
I found a pet with a birthday today but their is no birthday cake on their page? What do I do?
  • Villager Morpha (#27929) 22 Jun 2021, 2:23 am
Aside from all the other points other people have brought up, can we PLEASE get clothing previews so we can make informed decisions about which of the event items to get with our limited and very hard earned event currency?
  • Villager ducky (#58593) 22 Jun 2021, 6:59 am
I'm so excited to participate in the creativity contests! This is my first event :D
  • Villager Hall (#3178) 22 Jun 2021, 8:58 am
The tier rewards are mostly currency for a shop we couldn't see the items of (and not entirely now bc no previews). In a super miserably grindy event. The delay just made me not want to bother. :c
  • Villager Maeva (#36503) 22 Jun 2021, 9:23 am
This is exactly like all the previous events, and somehow even worse. I... don't know if I should type out the sheet of text again, because I did it before, we all did it before, and it led nowhere. I don't have to join discord to say something (and probably get banned from it even when I'm extremely civil and polite, just for criticism).
This is grindy, this is frustrating, the communication with the staff is non-existent, literally not present. The anniversary (and the events in general) is the time for fun activities, gifts, new features, - not for stressing out about timers, about grind, about GIVING something away at a rate that will break your wallet and possibly the economy of the game. Are you trying to push people out? Because it seems that way, either that or you just won't listen to anything that is not "wow great".
Please listen to us. Please talk to us.
  • Villager BlackRose (#9895) 22 Jun 2021, 10:54 am
Ok, so it's nice and all that you guys added some more tasks and lowered the requirement of some (and are also looking into rerolling) but what's with the time-gating still staying around? That was another big thing many have voiced concern about so can you please listen to that too. Or at least communicate with us and tell us why that's not being touched. Thank you.
  • Villager Sev (#3394) 22 Jun 2021, 2:10 pm
i just wanted to say that with the changelog update and the addition of the new tasks i feel things are going a lot better now! feels way less stressful and much more balanced imo. i'm enjoying the lore of the event too, though i am a little curious as to why our worldhopper specifically makes mention of what the captain looks like (something about having 4 arms?) when we don't even get to see them :'(
