POLL #2: Forum Games Latest Activity Visibility
Should threads in the Forum Game category appear in the Latest Forum Activity section of the main page?

Hi everyone, here's another poll to get your opinions about some site organization options. There are pros and cons to each option so feel free to let us know your view on it!

    My vote goes to no.

    As someone that sometimes posts a bunch of forum game replies back to back in short order, it feels really awkward to fill up the front page with my avatar's potato farming. I only noticed this feature last night on the home page, but I feel like guild threads, art sale threads, custom sales threads, etc. deserve to be featured on the front page much more than silly game replies. <3

    Seconded! A lot of forum game posts can boil down to single-word replies in many threads that don't need the highlighting :,D I always feel self-conscious over how many I knock out a time.

    Contrast to other forum posts that get buried FAST by however many people are trying to grind forum earnings like that throughout the day. RP Classifieds come to mind — which don't seem too too active on DV anyways — but rare times they do crop up its always sad that they're going to disappear soo fast. No chance of hypothetical interest. And of course more utility threads like for trading items or art are always welcome to see when they tend to get more organically boosted.

    Been waiting for this since the very beginning of the site
    As someone who likes to check forums via the latest category, it's pretty difficult to do when it's suddenly full of the games section.

    I voted yes, because I do like to check in the games as much as anything else, but definitely get the votes for no expressed above! If you're specifically looking for literally any other forum posts on the main page, they tend to be drowned out. Perhaps a separate space?

    My vote went to No; Games threads are typically spam and don't deserve high visibility (such as front page)

    I voted no and was just thinking about this the other day! thanks for asking. I don't feel strongly but it does kind of annoy me when useful threads (like trade threads or pet accessories) get quickly spammed out of the recent activity.

    i dont really care about the recent posts feature, but games is the spam forum
    we all know it, we all use it that way. (im shy and dont like talking so its the only way to earn my forum taters without a lot of forced awkward conversations)
    and if i were an avid conversationalist, seeing nothing but game-thread updates would get really, really really annoying

    Only show NEW THREADS in the Forum Games, as those are, well, new..

    Less attention on the games might give the focus back to threads of actual substance. I've never liked seeing game thread activity anywhere tbh. Not on the front page or the "recent forum activity" page. So I'm a strong No vote.
