With the arrival of the Winter season, a new Seasonal Pet has appeared!
- The ingredients to make the hatching item can be found in Pai, Agnes, and Oran's shops' Bonus Prize pools.
- The item alchemy recipe is available in your recipe book and shown above.
- This Seasonal Pet will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the end of February to be replaced by a pet for the next season.
- Seasonal pets are obtainable annually on a rotation! The hatching items can be alchemized at any time of the year.
2021 Winter Shard Pets
The Winter Shards from last year have returned to Pai and Agnes' Shops this spring at a flat rate of 500 turnips, and Oran's Bonus Claim. Alchemize all 4 shards + a mixer potion to create the Winter Stone hatching item!

CUSTOMS STATUS
In order to space out updates and prevent workload conflict, we've decided to make sure that each month's batch of customs is completed by the middle of the month rather than the end of the month. November's batch of customs will be coming out in the next few days, and then December's batch will be claimed and worked on!
ADVENT CALENDAR
We're planning a small Winter Advent Calendar quest to celebrate the season which will be released some time this month!
ROADMAP & BETA CHANGELOG
In between our various priorities, we've been slowly finishing up the roadmap, and will be ready to release it this month, along with the beta changelog!
THALIES EVENT
Even though we've been pluggin away at our Thalies event preparation, we're currently reconsidering its timing. The usual timing for Thalies' month would have been in September, but it's now December and the season wouldn't really match this deity's lore. We're discussing whether or not to keep this event for next year and instead plan something else that won't feel as out of place for the next event. We'll let everyone know what our decision is once we've arrived at it, thanks for hearing our thoughts!
SILVIE'S MINE BALANCING
Assets are 90% complete for our upcoming Silvie's Mine Balancing update! We just need to compile everything, adjust and test quest rebalancing, and input all assets. We're planning to get this update out some time next month.

I am extremely excited for Silvie’s Mine update (arguably the town most in need of a dailies’ revamp), and the seasonal pet looks gorgeous!
I dont agree with the person who thinks theres inflation for the pai items.. havent they always been 200 each and when you introduced pets to the shop they were 500 at the start right?
im super excited one of them pets is in orans shop now instead of them all being cash items!
i personally would be perfectly fine if you had to skip an event to catch up! buying summer items now in the fall event was weird, and i cant imagine how daunting it must have been for new folks looking at all the items they had to try to get with two events running at the same time plus extra!

This is is copy and paste from my last post in June, so take that in mind on some of the things I reference,
"So Advisor was the first 10 item set, and that was just when they started branching out to more than just 8 items so they were probably sticking to 1500 for that chest because they didn't know what to price more items at. Warden was the second 10 item set, and that's the exact same as the current set. So it seems like 10 item sets are going to 1700 for their chests, and the usual 8 items (and occasional 7 or 9) sets are going to be 1500. The only reason last month's 6 items were 1600 for the chest was because you were getting 2 hatchables that are 500 Turnips each instead of 200."
And now with the newer months added, unless my math is wrong, the only chest that technically had a price raise is the Timekeeper one. With 9 items at 1600 Turnips it was 100 Turnips more than the only other strictly 9 clothing item chest, the Artificer. Other than that, as you can see, the chests are all pretty much the same price when you compare what kind of items it has. Regular clothing (200 Turnips each), Hatchables (500 Turnips each), and then I believe the only Food/Totem we got from the Soiree set (100 Turnips).
I'm also someone who cannot and has not bought a single Turnip on here, so this isn't coming from someone who has no budget limitations when it comes to Turnips. The only Turnips I get are from the once-a-year birthday gifts from NPCs, ad theater, and whatever else DV has on the site to earn them. I'm not someone who wants to buy every single set though, I only buy what I'm interested in and sometimes that's just a few pieces, other times it's the chest but I also usually always look to buy the chest with Potatoes from another user just so I can save my Turnips in case I ever can't buy the chest with Potatoes or really need them for something else in the future. I currently have almost 5k Turnips in my bank (will be less after I buy some stuff from this set lol), and that's all from free earnings on site.
Obviously, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, I just wanted to put the info out there again and everyone can do what they want with it. But as far as I can tell, DV is not raising the cost of Pai's chests for no reason, they're adding more or more expensive items to them at times so they at times are obviously going to be higher.
