So, I understand the timing of the rainbow event, but I think this event should've happened instead because we regularly have half the users online now than we did then. While it's possible this could bring people back... if it's a time-intensive event (which is what it's sounding like) then I think that will simply frustrate the people who have school/work. I'm frankly disinterested because even though I've mostly given up the grind for NPC affection, I don't really want to replace it with another grind with unknown goals. I personally want the issues that have been raised in the forums to be addressed; I don't want a time-sink event. If anything, this may push me further away from the site because I've already had burnout from questing. And you can say "well, just don't do it then" but I feel guilty since they're tying my participation into some unlocks for the community. I suspect a lot of people with IRL obligations may feel the same. It's a small thing which isn't a big deal but that's how I feel.
