I'm not sure if you've gotten a reply about this already but regarding donated gifts vs picked up gifts, you're only awarded 3 gift pickups per day regardless of how many you've sent. So if you donate 8 on day one, you would get to pick 3. On day two you donate 1 and get 1 pickup for a total of 4 received gifts to your 9 sent ones over both days.
