Most of what I feel has already been said multiple times, but like... I also feel like this feels bad because, for people playing this site for the pets, the mention of getting new pet content in the last news post was very exciting! We've only had one pet since launch, from the Autumn Festivities, so more pets is ideal!

Except, to have such an overly convoluted (and expensive) pet be one of only two pets being released? It doesn't feel great to people who are here to collect pets.

Theoretically, you could make this pet feel less bad. I feel like the system wouldn't be as bad if the pet wasn't seasonal - a long term goal like that could be fun, and it'd give people more time to save up and buy the pieces from other players. It'd give an incentive for FTP and premium players to trade with each other, and it'd make the final pet feel like a fun rarity while also not being impossibly exclusive.

But, between making it seasonal (and not 100% confirming if the pet will even return, with the phrasing "likely"), and then having the hyped up new pet release that the number of clothes released was lowered to account for, having that be two pets, one of which is complex and expensive to obtain, AND seasonal...? It all just multiples together to make a MASSIVE bad feeling.

Especially when lots of people have said in the suggestions forums by now that they'd be happy to buy pets in monthly sets as a direct purchase for a reasonable price. The complexity would be interesting if it wasn't premium and time restricted (or heck, if all the shards were in all the shops so you could get the pet regardless of what shop you use) but as it stands, not the best game design decision.
