I had been becoming more optimistic about DV from recent updates, but the seasonal pet fiasco pretty much ruined that for me. :\ In the beginning I had been regularly buying turnips. I'm happy to support games and sites I enjoy. Then I stopped buying due to the immsense grind and poor staff communication. But, I was willing to resume buying turnips if things improved enough. I thought we were going down that path. But then this blatant cash grab happens?

Like, I don't even care for pets on this site. I wouldn't have minded a $5 or $10 pet, though I'm mainly here to play dressup and enjoy the story/characters. But I know a lot of users are here for the pet aspect. It costs so much if you only want the pet, and then you're forced to buy clothes to get to the pet. Why isn't it a reasonably priced direct purchase? It just boggles the mind how this decision was made. It only makes sense if it's a scummy cash grab based on FOMO and enticing people to spend more than they want to. Again, I'm happy to support something I enjoy. But I just can't support a $60 pet. It's like one step forward, ten steps back. It's going to be a long time before DV sees any cash from me again, if ever. And that's a shame because I WANT to be happy here.
