Winter Festivities 2022!

JANUARY 24TH 12AM DVT to
FEBRUARY 15TH 11:59PM DVT
The Event Quests, Shop and non-gifting mechanics will remain until February 22nd, 11:59PM DVT

Welcome to Dappervolk's 2022 Winter Festivities!
We're so excited for everyone to have fun with the gifting event and experience Soll's storyline!

PELLUMI'S SUN FESTIVAL
  • This is an anonymous present donation and claim tree run by Pellumi!
  • Roll tasks to wrap presents and donate them to the tree.
  • You can donate an unlimited number of gifts and claim up to 3 per day, 1 for each donation you make that day.
  • Gift donation and claiming will be sorted by rarity, meaning that generally you will get a similar rarity item to what you tend to donate!
  • Additional prizes can be claimed as you hit total donation milestones, they will give out special event prizes not within the user created pool!
  • After the event ends, there will be 7 days of free present claiming on an individual cooldown timer for the left over present pool.
  • This will go on for 7 days or until the pool is depleted.

To access the event quest, visit the new seasonal area - Soll's Ruins! Go to the World Map and find it south of Silvie's Mine.

  • Speak to Pellumi at Soll's Ruins to begin the seasonal quest "The Winter Sands"
  • There are 4 quests in total to be unlocked in succession.
  • 2 of 4 quests are repeatable quests. "The Great Labyrinth" can be completed once a day while "A Moment's Respite" can be completed 3 times.

  • Pellumi's Antique Nook shop will open on the second day of the event on January 25th 12AM DVT
  • The shop will be open until February 22nd, 11:59PM DVT
  • Shop stock will include all January Deity clothing, seasonal winter clothing, 2 new pet hatchables, totems, and more!
  • All shop items should be affordable if you complete the Sun Festival gifting event and complete all 4 winter quests in Soll's Ruins.

HOW TO OBTAIN RUIN LIGHTS
Ruin Lights are the currency for the Winter Event Shop and are obtainable in the following ways:
  • Doing the seasonal event quests in Soll's Ruins
  • Completing gift milestones and claiming prizes at the Sun Festival
  • Random Encounters
  • Random Item Alchemy
  • Adventuring Rewards

HOW TO GET EMBELLISHMENTS
Embellishments are required for present wrapping tasks in the Sun Festival and can be obtained by:
  • Completing the "Exploring the Labyrinth" repeatable quest in Soll's Ruins.
  • Receiving them from other users through Embellishment gifting on user profiles.
  • You can post in this thread to give and receive embellishments!

All contest submissions close on February 8th 11:59PM DVT to allow time for judging, and prizes will be distributed in time for all currency to be spent.

    When you say 'generally the same rarity' - can we get a more clear idea on that? I put in 3 rare items and got 3 common items in return. I don't really mind, but it caught me off guard

    What happened to being able to refresh/reroll tasks? I'm totally stuck cause it's asking for 5 adornments and I've only earned 6 total since it started. My first task asked for 2. Please fix this so I can actually participate.

    will we get the ability to reroll later on in the event? cause im struggling with the embelishments!

    Bring back the reroll button and drop the odds of getting embellishment tasks, I've been only able to complete three tasks since the start because I keep rolling embellishment tasks that expect me to hand over a bunch and this is getting ridiculous. Also there should be more than just the quest and gifting others that can give us them because that relies way too heavily on people having time to hang around in forums or gifting randomly with the hope of maybe getting an embellishment back. There has to be more guarantee ways to get them besides only three a day when you could potentially be asked to hand in up to six or more per task roll.

    It would have been super nice to have a random user button on the festival homepage, like the last event. The infrastructure is already there for it, since we had it last time for watering. It was really handy for finding people to gift to without relying on finding random people in the forums or having to worry about being super active and posting a lot yourself. It felt a lot more fair to people who can't spend all day in the forums peddling embellishments!

    Agreed, we need either a reroll or another way to get embellishments. Because getting tasks that ask for 3 and 4 each, back to back is discouraging.
