Fall Festivities Begin!
A strange atmosphere descends around you, the air is thick and lush
with the scent of plants and greenery. In the darkness, a ghostly twinkle
flickers here and there among a cacophony of glowing flora and fauna.
The festivities will be fully active for 3 weeks from:
OCTOBER 21ST 12AM to
NOVEMBER 10TH 11:59PM DVT
The Event Quests, Shop and non-gathering mechanics will remain until November 17th, 11:59PM
Welcome to Dappervolk's 2021 Autumn Festivities!
We're so excited for you to experience our brand new event type and story! We hope you have a lovely spooky season filled with mystery.
GROVE GATHERING
- You've discovered a mysterious Grove on the outskirts of the 3's Forest. The treasures found here appear to have peculiar qualities.
- Encounter gatherables at random around the site and gain event currency upon clicking them.
- You can water the plants found on other participants' profiles every 3 minutes for 1 grove bud, which can be turned into event currency.
- Once your own plant is fully grown, you can harvest it for 2-5 grove buds and grow a new plant!
To access the event quest, visit the new seasonal area - the Grove! Go to the World Map and find it just east of 3's Forest.
- Speak to Cro at the Grove to begin the seasonal quest "An Unfamiliar Path"
- There are 3 quests in total to be unlocked in succession, as well as 1 currency exchange quest to help change Grove Buds into Grove Treasure.
- The repeatable quest can be completed 5 times a day, and the currency exchange quest can be completed 10 times a day.
- Clue - Take note of the paths you take and when you take them.
- The Grove Goods Shop will open on the second day of the event on October 22nd at 12AM DVT.
- The shop will be open until November 17th at 11:59PM DVT.
- Shop stock will include all seasonal fall clothing, totems, and more!
- All items should be affordable with about 1 week's worth of regular activity (completing quests, harvesting/watering plants).
WAYS TO OBTAIN GROVE TREASURE
Grove Treasures are the currency for the Fall Event Shop and will be obtainable in the following ways:
- Doing the seasonal event quests
- Collecting randomly appearing gatherables throughout the site
- Watering the plants of event participants
- Harvesting your fully grown plant on your profile
- Random Encounters
- Random Item Alchemy
- Adventuring Rewards
- Playing 3's Forest Cleanup
GROVE BUDS & GROVE TRUNKS
- 5 Grove Buds can be alchemized into 1 Grove Treasure.
- 5 Grove Treasure can be alchemized into 1 Grove Trunk.
- Grove Buds → Grove Treasure → Grove Trunk
- These are obtained around the site through mechanics seen above.
There is an Avatar Dress Up Contest and a Creativity Prompt Contest open throughout the event! Click on the buttons below to visit them.
Both contests end a few days before the event ends, and prizes will be distributed in time for all currency to be spent.

I kind of worry about the watering of the plant thing though. So far absolutely no one has watered my plant, and I worry about never or very rarely being able to actually harvest the plant and then I lose out on event currency. This sort of random thing that's out of our own hands gives some a slight advantage over others if they have more active friends or if their profile just happens to be randomly linked to more times. I wish there was a way where we could water our own plant a few times a day, enough times where we could actually get it harvestable at least once or twice a day.
The event itself is really nice and chill, so far, and I enjoy getting to water other people's plants. It's such a wholesome little activity, and the variety of plants are really cute! (^____^)
Maybe others have had a different experience but I now no longer believe this and am wondering how in the world someone came up with that math. It's been just about a week now, and I don't have enough currency to even buy half of just one of each of the NEW things. That's not counting the 5 totems for the pet + the 1 other hatchable totem or last year's items, just the new Pann's stuff, recolored items, and 1 of each of the 3 totems. And I've been doing my 5 quests every single day, and have been posting on the official watering thread as much as I can throughout my days.
So how, in what world, should players be already able to afford ALL ITEMS by now? Were we expected to post immediately after every 3min, 24/7, and hope the player below us watered our plant too? How was someone supposed to get about 830 currency already? I'm just so baffled.
