Our third month of limited shops is finally here:
September's theme is the armoured Leviathan!
These items were obtained from deep beneath the sea.

How can I get to Peddler's Port?
Peddler's Port is a seaside location that you can unlock by going through the main storyline in Louise Hill. Once unlocked, you can visit Peddler's Port any time without using up a town hop!
Pai's Shop of Wonders
Pai will host these 6 items in their infinite stock shop this month for 200 turnips each. If you spend 2000 turnips, you will be able to choose a free item of your choice! Free item claims will expire 3 months after obtaining them.
What are Turnips?
Turnips are the untradeable premium currency of Dappervolk. You can purchase them with real life currency here, as well as obtain them occasionally through gameplay.
Oran's Emporium
Oran's shop will be stocked with these 6 items for 9,000 potatoes per spin!
These monthly shops will run until September 30th, after which they will be removed to house October's monthly items!
Our Adventuring Riddle Contest is now over!

- Every month, Pai and Oran from Peddler's Port will have different sets of 6 items in their shops that will retire at the end of the month to be replaced by new stock.
- These items are obtained from far away lands and follow the theme of the land they visited each month.
- All retired items from Monthly Shops will eventually be able to be obtained very rarely from Grandma Agnes later on.

really quite unfair. it also makes the economy weird - certain turnip monthly items cost more than others in the potato trades market. while this definitely makes more sense for the gacha items and maybe with past monthly items, its really strange that it happens during the month where the items are released lol. because they all cost the same amount of turnips, but because some items are seen as more desired by people, they cost more in potatoes. if people could just buy turnips with potatoes they could choose what they want to buy during that month. and this wouldnt stop users from selling the monthly items for potatoes, they still would, it might just cause people to wait a month before selling their items, which i see no problem with.
this weird economy thing is not the only issue with not making prem currency tradeable but i still wanted to point it out.
another issue is just that its super discouraging to people who literally cant give dv money. some people on this site are children/teens, they actually cant give the site money even if they wanted to lol. then there are tons of adults who cant spare any money, ESP during this time of a global pandemic. there is no way to earn turnips other than a few every week with dailies, and some for npc affection but that takes a TON of grinding. its just impossible to be able to buy monthly items with turnips for players who cant donate RLC. theres not enough ways around the site to earn them without spending RLC. why are they not tradeable lol? like is there a reason? i dont understand. if you made them tradeable, it might even encourage more people to buy them, idk. because then ppl can sell them for potatoes, which is what a lot of ppl on sites like this like to do, buy prem currency and sell for reg currency.
but ill stop rambling in the comments lol. wonder if there is a suggestion thread.
Still hoping for some eyes one month that'll be O-O instead of u-u or e-e but ah well
I also agree with overgrowth (#1613) I've managed (through the daily bonus) to finally get 200 turnips, but I'm torn between getting the Trident or the tail. If there was a way for me to preview them, I might be able to decide what goes well with my outfit and what might be too extra or cluttery.
The monthly still looks good tho! I'm really digging this and last months items.
