Similarly, that can be said about the larger point tasks for Lilia's Quests and Hatching A Pet - users were also anxious at first because it was unknown whether these tasks would grant as many points as they did, and given how little the prior tasks awarded, the uncertainty caused many users to lose out on sleep. "What if the tasks continued to award a similar amount of points making elite tier impossible without under-sleeping" is also a hypothetical situation that did not happen, but understandably caused considerable amounts of stress in the player-base. Many players expressed their worries on the news post or forums but did not receive reassurance until the bigger tasks themselves were released which made some players feel frustrated in the meantime.

While the embers are not as big of a deal, there was still hesitation to alchemize them because of the uncertainty on how the event would end/whether there would be updates to their use. This wasn't just out of nowhere like "Hey, what if the staff suddenly decides that only the top 10% of users reaches elite tier?", but based on how many excess embers there were, the 'gradual release of information' style of the event, the mystery of what the final seasonal quest would be, etc. Likewise, questions were asked and left unanswered again.

Most of the feedback right now is aimed towards staff communication, simply requesting confirmation in situations like this in the future. I'm not sure what there would have been to lose if a staff member had confirmed: "Hey, the embers won't have any other use - feel free to do with them what you will".

Like others have already said multiple times, this feedback isn't blind rage meant to 'yell at the staff' or make them feel bad. (Also not trying to target you or anything, just thought your points overlapped with some of mine ^^")
