The main argument I see is "What if there was a hidden event afterward that required the embers!", The issue with that is that it's based on a hypothetical scenario that didn't even happen during the event and forces the staff to appear in a negative light despite it not having happened?
If that scenario happened, then yes - These claims would have a foundation, and people absolutely would have the right to be upset and angry, but it's just based on "what ifs" than anything else; just feels like people trying to yell at the staff for something that wasn't going to happen in the first place
The staff absolutely have faults and are yet to answer to many community questions/demands - but this is? users getting upset over a scenario that didn't even happen

I have been on DV for about 2-3~ months, so maybe this has happened in the past that I'm unaware of, but as far as I've read no one has mentioned that in any prior comments or criticism
