There has been a lot of neon and bright sets recently but theres always a variety regardless, we get new sets every month too which is really nice. From the doglike aspect its pretty obvious that the term mongrel is being used in its proper definition of “a dog of no definable type or breed“ which is charming and suits the set/hatchable pet quite well. Unfortunately pretty much any word can be used in a negative term, I feel like intent is a really important factor too. I won’t get into it but I don’t think anyone is going to look at this set and be like hey thats messed up/offensive. Other terms that could be used to describe this doglike set can also be used in a derogatory manner like hound or mutt. If we want to really be cynical we could even go after the creatures name mong mong which I believe comes from dogs going “woof woof” because it can mean something bad too. I strongly suggest people take intent and reasoning into consideration before choosing to view something in a negative light. I hope the name sticks, mixed breed dogs can be absolutely adorable and Im all for mixed breeds to make gene pools more diverse <3
