Thanks for listening! Removing the literal gambling was a very good idea!
I still think the "turnips spent" idea could be better though. "Pay $5 for premium and an extra $14 for a free item" is better than "pay $5 for premium and an extra $16 for a free item" but the way I see it, it's still extorting more money out of premium users if we want to make use of a premium feature.
