tbh i wish a festival would just be skipped. i think most ppl would be ok with missing a festival, it getting just completely thrown out for a year, just to catch up. i'd happily miss a winter festival or spring festival or something (or even just have the items thrown into a random shop for a bit, cuz that's the main draw lol) to avoid something like seeing the 2023 winter festival in april of 2024, and etc.

also i got the calf because it was cute and i'm a freak for cows, and don't play enough to need a ton of potatoes on me, but i agree that the pricing was ridiculous as well, and even with the fix it's too late, i've already dumped potatoes in.
